Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arsenal Football Club is delighted to confirm that Nico Yennaris has signed a new contract extension with the Club.
The 19 year-old England Youth international enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2011/12, making three appearances for Arsène Wenger's senior side before gaining further first team experience with League One outfit Notts County in a brief loan spell.
Although predominantly a central midfielder, Yennaris' versatility saw him make an assured Premier League debut at right back against Manchester United. Nico also played in defence for victories over Bolton Wanderers and Leeds United in the League Cup and FA Cup respectively.
The Leytonstone-born lifelong Gunners fan first joined Arsenal aged seven. He was a regular in the Reserves last season, for whom he made 17 outings.
Nico has been heavily involved with the first team this pre-season. He played in the Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup at Southampton and was also a member of the Asia Tour 2012 squad, featuring in two of the three matches in the Far East.
Everyone at Arsenal wishes Nico continued success with the Club.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
iirc, yennaris had an awful injury when he was younger, in a youth game against man utd he got elbowed badly, i think he missed nearly a year of football because of it. Its not the only really bad injury he had in his youth career either. So whenever i watch yennaris, i think its wise to remember he missed about 2 years of development with injuries, and the fact that hes played for the first team before the age of 20, is a tremendous testament to his ability and character

Re: Arsenal Lobby
I think Yennaris has done very very well in the games he played for the first team.
He is suppose to be a midfielder, but plays at right back and does it well.
Even in training, Woj said that Yennaris put Ox in his back pocket.
I would like to see more of him over the season, especially with our luck with injuries. Im also unsure about how Jenkinson will do over this season (im basing off what I saw in the friendly matches he was in - good going forward but eaten alive at the back), I think Yennaris on the other hand has done quite well.

Tbf Danny Simpson had him in his pocket aswell
It's fair to say that I feel way much comfortable with Yennaris and Coquelin who aren't even right-backs than with Jenkinson who's used with that role since forever. And I'm glad he extended his contract with Arsenal.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
In other news, who should happen to walk into my store than......KIEREN F*CKING GIBBS!!!
Bought a £300 Dyson (like a boss) drove a white Range Rover (like a boss) and had a little blond bit of alright in the passenger seat (like a boss) Went to put the Dyson in his boot, and it was all full of Arsenal gear and personalized boots
I managed to get an autograph and a picture (which is on the store camera, i'll try and nab it tomorrow and upload it)

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Having 3 youngsters with potential in one position is great for competition.
It's hard to pick one definite best amongst them.
I just hope one of them will inherit the RB postion after Sagna eventually declines.
Ps. Grats Lex..that signature looks weird though

Simpson got lucky in one game, just like Newcastle got lucky in one season
Yennaris (btw, till today, I thought the guys name was Yerranis )
And I agree with you Urban, I somehow feel more comfortable with Yennaris and Coq at right back than Jenkinson. Maybe because Jenkinson, being a right back by nature, shows tendency to make forward runs, while Coq and Yennaris tend to be more defensive in their play.

Considering how awful he is i'm inclined to agree with that deleted the other part btw because it simply isn't true

No no, I mean the picture was self-explanatory. One would have to be as bright as a brick to not get it. Unless ofcourse the one is uninitiated to Batman, but let us assume everyone who knew the original 'we don't need batman, we have ....' is well initiated.
By the way, we should really stop the 'we have got...' chants and banners. First it was Cesc and now .......

I know, but I was being excessively explanatory intentionally because there really wouldn't be anyone who wouldn't understand it
We don't need anyone, we've got Podolski.

LMAO
BUT what if I was intentionally jinxing him, therefore charming him. Yeah okay maybe that's a bit of a stretch.

Currently working on a massive write-up speculating upon our chance this season. I'm so bored.
