Well it's not like Fiorentina are in CL or anything. And his price will only be increasing from here. Around £25million should suffice, especially if rumors are to be believer about Carroll's departure (we could use his money).

But no-one seems willing to meet the asking price for Carroll... there are two sides to any deal. We may be willing to sell at a certain price but if no-one's offering it's moot.

And while Fiorentina are not in the CL Jovetic may well fancy staying where he is successful (on a personal level) until he can find a move to a CL side, rather than taking the risk in moving to a new league and club that are in a similar position to his current one.

Jovetic at the moment is completely happy in Fiorentina sadly as he just recently affirmed his allegiance to the club and praise for Montella and his project. It is a highly unrealistic acquisition.

As of now, I can surely say our transfer Mercato is complete given we have acquired Sahin on loan and aren't linked to many if not any players.

Would I say this is a successful transfer window?

Absolutely. We have a young, talented and skillful bunch in Borini and Allen both who were acquired for fair prices.

Assaidi was a marvellous capture out of the blue and given what I have heard of him and the low price we paid, it is a classical foxhole signing.

Of course we now have Sahin who will provide the midfield crux and creativity in catalysing an in development system by Rodgers.

Therefore I thank FSG and John Henry for the wonderful freedom given to Liverpool along with their funds. The latter after all never was never estimated to be given in such a large scale.

Our transfer market is complete when both Carroll and Cole are reportedly for sale at a given price, and the manager has said he wants at least three forwards... one of which is currently Carroll (who would need to be replaced, were he to leave). And there's Bolton's interest in Spearing.

I'd say there's still a solid chance of activity from Liverpool in this window.

Our transfer window has been better than last so far to be fair.

In which position you assume? & Who?

Joe Cole and Jamie Carragher contracts end at the end of this year.

That's 180k+ a week saved for the next season.
Add Adam (rumoured to be around 60k) and Spearing to that, and we have around 250k wiped off the wage bill.
Well, 330k as we're paying Sahin 80k a week on loan.
Carroll also leaving (Rodgers will have a year to find the right replacement) will take a further 70k off the wage bill.
So... around 400k off the wage bill next season.

We've got rid of around 400k this window with the likes of Dirk, AA, Bellers, Darby and Maxi leaving.

Allen, Borini and Aissadi get around 100k a week. That's around 300k saved.

If we finish in the top four, our wage bill will rise.

Happy days.
