We're already incredibly thin in the striker/wide forward department with the sale of Kuyt, do people really want to see Bellamy as well? While I don't think Rodgers has a specific amount to spend this summer (the cash will be supplied on a case-by-case basis) the club also don't have an infinite amount. Bellamy could save us a fair bit of money this summer by filling that extra squad role and he can still have a significant impact off the bench. It would be silly to let him go before we've signed at least one attacker and lined up another one for depth, unless people want one of Cole and Downing playing in the front three with some regularity again.

Agreed red, we need to sign forwards badly, especially before we consider letting anyone else go. As it stands we only have 6 senior players to fill the attacking roles.

There's been plenty of speculation, if that's what you're looking for. As for "official" news, what do you want other than notifications when deals are done and sealed? I prefer it when the club keeps things behind closed doors, leaks are annoying and unhelpful.

I feel like there's something between media speculation and official confirmations from the club... Last year the only transfers that really came out of nowhere were Coates and Bellamy at the end of the window, all the others we had heard about days - even weeks, in the case of Adam - in advance, whether through other teams, agents, the players themselves, or reputable journos hearing inside information. I agree leaks are annoying, but it's rare that things are THIS quiet preceding a true signing. Somethings get out, and the lack of any information within the vicinity of concrete makes me feel like we may be starting more from scratch with Rodgers taking over, meaning it will take longer - and possibly more money - to cement this squad.
