United agree Macheda deal

Federico Macheda is set to join VfB Stuttgart on loan for the remainder of the season.

United have reached an agreement with the Bundesliga club and the Italian is in Germany completing the temporary transfer.

Stuttgart are currently in 10th place in the German top-flight and and have been in the market for a new striker.

Director of sport Fredi Bobic admitted Macheda has been scouted extensively and a deal was clinched following positive discussions with Sir Alex, despite competition for his services.

Macheda, who will wear No14 at his new club, is United's leading goalscorer at Under-21 level this term and was on the bench for the FA Cup third-round draw at West Ham. After previous loan stints with Sampdoria and QPR, the striker will be determined to make his mark.

"I have followed the Bundesliga and naturally know about Stuttgart," said Macheda. "I am glad that I can now play for the club.

"For me, it is about getting to know the team and what I can bring because we have a lot of interesting games in three different competitions in front of us."

I downloaded and watched some full-games of Crystal Palace and after watching few of them, I realised that the guy has high potential to become a world class player.

Another rumor that didn't happen. He's not really the type of player SAF normally go for though, with the exception of Anderson, who used to be an AMC.

Would really be a great addition and I believe his move to Fenerbahce fell through. So, let's hope this rumor is real and we'll get him when summer arrives.

A strong #10 who can get at least five shots on target per match, and rape defenders apart. I want Rooney to feel his role at the club is challenged. My guilty wish for this is Eden Hazard. I know he doesn't shoot that often, but he is a nightmare for defenders.

Sell Young, bring in James Rodriguez from Porto this is all i want lol Rodriguez is a left footed so he can play the left effectively instead of cutting back all the time predictably like Young does

and if Nani goes, we have Zaha joining, but i am still not so sure we will sell Nani

I would also say sell Young. Nani should probably be given ONE MORE AND LAST chance, while Valencia should be prompted to up his game. He has become too much of a one-trick pony lately. Push forward to bring Cristiano back (heard some new rumors about that), we will have Zaha, which I quite don't see as Premier League material JUST YET (saying this, I mean he is likely to have a bad first season, ending up to being loaned at mid-season to Wigan, QPR or whomever will be in the EPL at the time), Valencia who will see his first team place seriously challenged, perhaps Nani and might I throw around the possibility of Mario Gotze or someone cheaper : James Rodriguez. What do you think?

Yeah rumors we're going to buy C.Ronaldo for 55m, cheaper than we sold him for but still a hefty fee especially him being 28 turning 29 and the fact we don't actually really need him, not saying he won't improve us. Also, heard Nani say somewhere he will not be leaving after SAF having a word with him, only time will tell. Really hope he does stay because even at half of his performance level he is easily better than Young who is just a form player. Plus, Zaha will take a little while to find his feet here and Kagawa will probably play more next season as he would have adjusted by then.
