Sassuolo claim their 18-year-old hitman Domenico Berardi is “followed with great attention” by Manchester United, Juventus and other top clubs.

The youngster scored twice and provided two assists in two games for the Serie B side so far this season.

“The interest from Manchester United? The player is followed with great attention by many clubs, including the Red Devils and also Juventus,” director general Nereo Bonato told Sky Sports.

“But there are other Italian and foreign sides who have observed him in recent games.

“For the moment there has been no concrete contact, so we're thinking about the present and how to develop Berardi in the best way.”

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, other sides ready to pounce for Berardi include Roma and Lazio.

Well, it's always hard to predict how good a player would perform for us, if his current form is not good enough. So, it seems logical and better to sign someone who is in great form.

Yes, Rodriguez is impressive but he is a riskier option than Bale because obviously he plays in a different league.

For CM, maybe Strootman is a great player we should sign.

Romanian giants CFR Cluj have admitted that they could be ready to sell goalkeeper Mario Felgueiras if they receive a club record bid.

And it is claimed that Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was personally impressed with Felgueiras during both of their games against Cluj in the group stages.

Everton were previously linked with the player, who admitted he was flattered by the interest.

Now Cluj president Iuliu Muresan admits he could be ready to sell Felgueiras, but only if they receive more than €4.5million, which would represent a club record.

"Felgueiras is the most transferable player right now in our group," Muresan told Digisport TV.

"We had problems with the goalkeepers in the previous years, but Mario has brought a great stability in our defence.

Sky Sports understands Manchester United are running the rule over Leicester City's Jefferey Schlupp.

Schlupp has been allowed to link up with United for a training stint by Leicester as Sir Alex Ferguson's coaching staff want to cast an eye over the 20-year-old.

The Ghana international has come through the Leicester academy and was handed his first-team debut by former Foxes boss Sven Goran Eriksson.

Schlupp, who is primarily an attacker, is a versatile performer having also played at left-back in his career.

It is believed United have taken him on trial to view his capabilities at left-back as they are short of options in the full-back positions.

Crystal Palace have denied suggestions a deal has been struck for winger Wilfried Zaha to join Manchester United.

Newspaper reports suggested Sir Alex Ferguson held talks with the player in London on Sunday over a switch that could be worth up to £15million.

"We are at an advanced point with Stuttgart," Bia said.

Federico Macheda is set to join VfB Stuttgart on loan for the remainder of the season.

United have reached an agreement with the Bundesliga club and the Italian is in Germany completing the temporary transfer.

Stuttgart are currently in 10th place in the German top-flight and and have been in the market for a new striker.

Director of sport Fredi Bobic admitted Macheda has been scouted extensively and a deal was clinched following positive discussions with Sir Alex, despite competition for his services.

Macheda, who will wear No14 at his new club, is United's leading goalscorer at Under-21 level this term and was on the bench for the FA Cup third-round draw at West Ham. After previous loan stints with Sampdoria and QPR, the striker will be determined to make his mark.
