telegraph are reporting this bid, I'm happy with that as they are a credible source.

Shaw would know that LB will be available for him, over an ageing and possible departing Evra. and Buttner is nowhere near as good as him (defensively anyway).

Mirror is saying it's a done deal, it's from the guy that always leaks our line-up not sure how reliable he is on transfers though.

The whole transfer seems similar to the Mata deal, we waited til after the Southampton game for it all to come out. I think Woodward has learned a lot from last summer, he won't put in an official bid unless he knows there's a good chance it will get accepted like the Mata deal in January.

Great news. I'm sure having a clear conscience regarding his future  during the WC would have played a part in this deal potentially being wrapped up early.

Get it out the way then fully focus on the WC.

I love Evra for his passion for the club, but eugh, it has come to a point where he just can't be arsed to defend anymore. The past 3/4 years, he's been nothing but a defensive liability.

No matter the quality of the side we were up against, we were always at least 1-0 down with him, couldn't keep a clean sheet to save his life
