I think messi is a good penalty taker, all he needs is more anger to shoot like he did vs milan.

and i think you can not judge his penalty abilities vs diego alves who saved 70% of penalties in la liga in last 2 seasons

he loves technical kicks you can see it at his free-kicks, passes, lobs. he is an artist. But at penalties you must be rude, its not an hard task i have seen even goalkeepers score penalties

if you make messi angry during penalties he will score a perfect penalty (reason is he will shoot it hard)

Every player has a penalty miss or two. Even Shearer missed one.

The thing is Cris's penalties are so insanely varied atm the keepers at this point just stand still because they're so hesitant on where to jump. Cris can blast it into either top corner, either bottom corner, panenka, all while faking it so it looks like something else is coming.

Also Cris just has less misses especially with Madrid, he only missed one and even that one resulted in a goal half a second later lol

imo should let the keepers take them will provide more excitment :S

Messi is far too good a player to be as predictable as he is, even if he does only miss penalties once in a while, though they've been very poorly timed misses in the league this season. Whenever I've seen him take penalties in the Champions League in the past, they've mostly been to the same spot, however it's not a concern when you consistently score.

No matter what the case though, it's simply an issue for the training pitch. If Messi actually decides to dedicate more time to this in practice then I've no doubt that he'll be able to tuck them away wherever he likes in the future.

Also who cares, Messi doesn't have to do everything, he's not f*cking Ballack, just let someone else take the penalties, he scores enough anyway.
