Keisuke Honda says he is on the verge of completing a January move from CSKA Moscow to Lazio.

The Italian outfit have targeted the Japanese international this month and it would seem that a deal is on the horizon.

“I want to go to Lazio,” the 25-year-old told Nikkan Sports. “The Italian championship intrigues me as a player.

“It may not be the most beautiful in the world, but it is the hardest. We are close to concluding the transfer.”

Lazio have sent transfer official Ighli Tare to Moscow recently in a bid to do a deal for the midfield ball-winner.

There was an initial difference in valuation given that Lazio were ready to offer €2m for his loan, with an option to buy in the summer for another €10m.

CSKA reportedly wanted as much as €16m.

Its weird tho, rumors of him leaving started when I spoke about Honda in chat how he should move to a bigger club...I never thought it would be Nazio tho

Seriously here....can someone tell us more about Lazio? Why the hate They won the league around a decade ago? But probably one of the mid table clubs in Serie A right and doing well this season obviously....
