Can Bilbao make Madrid lose points on Sunday?
Bilbao are never easy to beat, and they've shown their class before, they're in very strong form and it remains to be seen how Madrid react to losing the first leg at home. With all these factors come together, and some wishful thinking, I think they might not come out of Sunday unscathed.

They gave Barca huge problems and could have beat them if it weren't for the refs. :lucas:
Although with how Madrid seem to be focusing all their energy and the league, and having just lost again to Barca, I can see them coming out very focused.

Can they? Absolutely
Will they? it's very likely
Our form has been poor for a while now, legs are tired, minds are tired, sure we play at home, but given their recent form and how hard they are going to press us, losing is not even going to shock me.

Ozil will be somewhat fresh and Di Maria is going to be fit.
Bilbao also played a cup game so they aren't exactly 100% fit either and we are at home. Possible, but I am pretty sure we will win.

Athletic is in fine form, really fine form but I don't see a victory for them in the Bernabeu. It would be a hard fought victory but a victory nonetheless. They'll keep the 5 point gap well intact come Monday since they'll probably be out of the CDR come Wednesday.

Meh nowadays losing to Barcelona does not effect us negatively in other games since we get used to it. Remember 6-2 against Sevilla right after losing to Barcelona.

I firmly believe the title is open unlike some who seem to think Real wont drop points?
I havent watched Bilbao but they are doing very well. Really looking forward to watching it hopefully, since Biesla has a system and sticks to it, interesting to see the tactical battle that will come out, and hopefully they will play a good game and get result off Real. Im confident it can happen

Re: Can Bilbao make Madrid lose points on Sunday?
Nope, I dont believe it just yet.
Madrid are however defending aerial balls horribly in recent weeks and are defensively frail, Bilbao played very well in the last 2 games I saw also.
Despite that, I dont believe it just yet. Madrid know the league is their best chance of winning something because they dont have to beat Barca to do it and I expect they win this.
Could see a struggle, but I just cant sign on to a defeat.

Llorente will cause so much worry with his Aerial ability which is RM's weakness these days. Also Munian's confidence in front of goal has shifted at the CDR fixture. Scored with the Header.

We will pretty much hazard Bilbao to pieces, even if we cant win, draw would be dissapointing.

Hmm... now that I think of it, you could fly Cristiano, hook his eyes to some tubes and make him remember how many times Messi has been better than him to make a very effective rain machine.StrugaRock wrote:Sushi Master wrote:They gave Barca huge problems and could have beat them if it wasn't for Perez' weather machine. :lucas:

Re: Can Bilbao make Madrid lose points on Sunday?
Don't watch Spanish football all that much nowadays, but when I watch Bilbao, they've always looked very good. The 2-2 with Barca some time back was the last I saw of them though.
Madrid do have a nasty tendency of completely obliterating teams that play them after they lose a clasico. I don't see that on the cards for a Bilbao side that is this good right now, but I also don't see a victory for them either.
Narrow shut out or scoring loss methinks.
