Last season Lucas had the best tackle rate across the top 5 leagues in Europe. This season until his injury it was more of the same. Total Bossing plain and simple. I asked for stats a few weeks back and he was way ahead of other players on this list.

His only competition in this poll should be Busquets who is a different type of player and a Boss in his own right.

Funnily enough I think Lucas would do a better job than he would in Liverpool and visa versa Busquets would be better for Barca. Actually no one in world football would shift him out of the Barca team.

What a stupid poll....Schweini and Alonso are CM's....Lucas not being here just shows your lack of footballing knowledge my friend.

And to those that think Bisquit was the best DM :lucas: ....Put Bisquit in any other team he'll get run over other team. The possession play of Barca and Spain is the only thing makes Bisquit look world class. I'm not saying he's not good but he will never be the best DM in my eyes unless he can prove it without Xaviniesta keeping possession for his team 70% of the match.

I think that the best modern DM is xavi.

Defensively, he does the heavy lifting for Barca through Ball denial........I think he has as much a defensive impact as any midfielder in the world.

If you're gonna count Busquets...you might as well count Xavi too
