Who do you think was the best attacking midfielder of 2011?
Goallegacy's best Attacking Midfielder of 2011
Merry Christmas everyone, and our Goallegacy XI is drawing to the attacking sections of the pitch. Everybody's favourite position next- the AM. Choosing the candidates was a bit odd this time, and I know a lot of people will complain about one or two options in particular. Usual rules, these are the candidates:
Cesc Fabregas- Spain and Arsenal/Barcelona
Mario Gotze- Germany and Borussia Dortumund
Andres Iniesta- Spain and Barcelona
Javier Pastore- Argentina and Palermo/Paris Saint-Germain
Mesut Ozil- Germany and Real Madrid
David Silva- Spain and Manchester City
By the way, this is the XI till now:
---------Neuer
-Alves-Silva-Vidic-Marcelo
-----Busquets-Xavi
----WNG-AM-WNG
-----------ST

David Silva gets my vote. Hasn't put a foot wrong at all and has adapted expertly to the PL this year. Citeh march to the beat of his drum.

Ozil provided the most assists and created the most chances last season.

Tough choice for me between Iniesta and Silva but Silva edges it in the end imo.

Iniesta, but Silva's gonna get it. He was great too though.

I voted for Silva as imo he has been the most consistent high level performer of the calendar year of 2011 and not just last season which involved 2010 which has nothing to do with 2011

Of 2011? Iniesta by a mile.
This season? Definitely David Silva even though his performances this season have been overstated.

Might as well fill in the two winger slots with Ronaldo and Messi and the strikers one with Ibra

Re: Goallegacy's best Attacking Midfielder of 2011
Though i believe Iniesta is a level above Silva i think Silva has been consistently brilliant for most part of 2011 and has been key to City's success.
I dont think Pastore does even deserve to be in this poll.I'd put Toni Kroos ahead of him who has been quite outstanding for Bayern this season.
