Who do you think was the best defensive midfielder of 2011?
Goallegacy's best Defensive Midfielder of 2011
Moving on now! Even though the LB poll still has around half an hour left, I figured I would put this up as this is the only time I have to do it. We move on to the DM position. Here is an update on the XI for now:
----------Neuer
-Alves-Silva-Vidic-Marcelo
Bench:
Iker
Lahm
Hummels
And these are the DMs on show for this poll. Remember, the one with most votes gets a place in the XI, while the best runner up midfielder (DM and CM, 4-2-3-1 FTW) sits on the bench.
Xabi Alonso- Spain and Real Madrid
Sergio Busquets- Spain and Barcelona
Yann M'Vila- France and Stade Rennais
Bastian Schweinsteiger- Germany and Bayern Munich
Mark Van Bommel- Netherlands and Milan
Arturo Vidal- Chile and Bayer Leverkusen/Juventus
Hmm, looks like a pretty good competiton is on our hands here. An 'Other' option is also included for the finnicky ones.

It's based around 2011 and Marcelo was the best LB 2011 imo. Also he won by 30+ votes, there arent that many Madrid fans Let's not forget some voted for Marcelo becouse Lahm was RB that season.
Anyways, Redondo 2.0 deserves this one

Dude, its a series of polls. Im not the one who makes them up. The LB poll is in fact still open, if in the next 10 minutes you get 5 more votes for Lahm and Marcelo gets none he might jump ahead.

I dont rate Lucas so much, but damn I thought I had left someone out. Well, theres the Other option if you really feel that way, but it wont really count for much.

Re: Goallegacy's best Defensive Midfielder of 2011
even though we've been awful this season cambiasso almost deserves a mention
he's been one of the few ageing player we have who haven't let themselves down. he's basically been doing the work of 2 men in some matches

Lucas should have his name here. I noticed Jose Enrique wasn't included for the LB thread as well.

I don't believe Saeta rates Liverpool or Liverpool players particularly highly.poolsupporter wrote:Lucas should have his name here. I noticed Jose Enrique wasn't included for the LB thread as well.

i voted busquets. but i still hate him.
he's not better than the rest in the list, but achieved more in last year than the others.

Again busquets isn't a defensive mf, neither is Alonso. The Pirlo should be there.
