The most underrated defensive midfielder

Is Bayern's Luiz Gustavo. The way he has been playing last season (from the winter on) to now has been spectacular. He tightly marked Inter's Sneijder in the 2 games and is a great ball winner.

Honestly though,i dont want a super young/inexperienced squad for the WC,Damiao,Ganso,Neymar and maybe Lucas are the only youngsters i would like to have starting.

By 2014 that group you mentioned + Casimiro will be between the 22-24 age bracket, and they'll all most likely be in Europe. We also have the Olympics and The Confederations Cup along the way, so they won't be completely experienced, but they'll at least have their feet wet.

The most underrated DM got the be Busquets even though I don't like the guy his short passing is unique and far from anyone would be able to replace his position on the pitch properly.

I think Toure was better as DM when he was at Barca, he doesn't really play DM at Man C anymore though.
I'm not a regular La Liga watcher though.

Honestly mate I don't consider busquets a defensive MF, hell I don't consider most Barcelona players with fixed positions, it's to hard. That team is playing total football, to hard to judge. For me it's Lucas

I know you will point out my bias here, but I gotta say, NOBODY ever heaps the praise on Khedira... the guy has a work rate like no other, and when he's off the pitch, you notice the difference. Plus, when he goes forward he creates a lot of trouble.
Also, I agree that Gago is incredibly underrated.
Outside of my biased view, I think people forget what Lee Catermole does and I think, despite that he isn't amongst the top, he is a quality premier league player
