Balanced match... Fair result...

- Both teams missed some players, including Starters...

! Lebanon played without:
Maatouk (Had to play a game for his Club in Uae).
Atwi (Uae).
Youssef Mohammad (Uae).
Abbas Hasan (Sweden).

Injured: Roda Antar and Mahmoud Al-Ali.

Anyway I think Oman controlled the match, Lebanon defended with 10 and played on the counter. I don't blame them though it was very hot and they probably wanted to save their stamina lol

Anyway we were supirior but Lebanon took their only real chance. :lucas :

Atwi (32) is an experienced player, but recently he wasn't playing at his best.. Although, Matar is just 20 years old, he was great in the last 2 friendlies against Jordan and Oman, he deserves to Start Imo.

Theo (coach) could start with Atwi and Matar, most likely.. But, I really prefer that Chamas starts along with Faour in the midfield and Matar in front of them.. More balanced Imo.

Qatar ( at home, 3 June), Uzbekistan (at home, 8 June) and South Korea (Away, 13 June)..

Its going to be a long and very difficult matches against Very Gd/Strong teams compared to Lebanon...

Qualify to the World Cup? Miracle? maybe but you never know.. I just hope, Lebanon can perform well in the qualifiers... 3rd in our group would be a Great Achievement...

Anyway, Our Target should be Asia 2015 (We have a young and very talented team):

Note: The only time we played in Asia Cup, was in 2000 when we host it, Lebanon played 3 games (2-2 vs Thailand, 2-2 vs Iraq and lost 0-4 against Iran)...

Lebanon were the better team in 1st half, we even had much more possession especially in the 1st half.. Yes u had more Shots, most of target, Goalscoring chances were even!!

We played with Maatouk, Dodo and Roda... not Just the Best in our Squad.. Best in Our History !!! (Mahmoud, and Abbas didn't play also)

After you goal you had very few chances though, in the second half you had almost no chances at all. You definetly parked the bus after the goal and your possession was in your half not ours. A draw was a fair reult though.

We probably should have won but some of our younger players didn't really focus.

we really did not have a chance lets be serious, but what matters now is that the country gains some interest in this team, and spend some money on training facilities and so, so we can compete again.

i think you're wrong when it comes to the countries interest in the team.

When we were awarded the 5million for advancing onto the next stage, Theo Bucker wanted to use that money for training facilities and youth academies, but instead the Lebanese government pocketed most of the money and hoped the national team would pull another miracle in advancing into the world cup. It's disappointing, but with a government like that I don't think we'll ever improve.
