Majority of Madrid fans on here consider him a god who cant be touched and you attempt to disagree you are either a barca fan or a zidane hater.....
It's pathetic tbh.
Well its not like there arent some barca fans who call him overrated and overhyped average player.
Thats as much Pathetic too isnt it?

Re: Is Iniesta already an all-time great?
So if Xavi is better than Iniesta, and Iniesta is comparable to Zidane. Does that mean Xavi is better than Zidane??
Or worst yet, does that mean Messi is better than Zidane?
This is retarded.

All-time Barca great. yes.
All time great. no.
When put into the mix with laudrup, redondo, zidane, etc. he comes short

Well as teamanarchy puts it, iniesta might be an all time barca great but not an all time great.

All time great?
Dont know.
There havent been 5 better players in his position since I started watching football, maybe not even 3 better.

Iniesta isnt an Am, he is a centermid.
Ballack wasnt an Am really either.
To be honest it doesnt matter, you can include AM´s too.
Still dont think I have seen 5 better.

All time great? Not yet, let's be patient, he'll get there eventually. I'm sure of it. Second best player in the world.....................................I could live with him being tied with Cristiano for that "title"...

He's been crucial in Spains first ever club treble and WC, not to mention their first Euro since like the 60's so I'd say yeah. What more does he have to do?

Re: Is Iniesta already an all-time great?
well maradona got his titles with napoli does it mean he is only a napoli legend? or pele only santos legend? or maldini? di stefano? raul?
it clearly shows that you can be all time great only winning with one club
ronaldinho also will be remembered only for his barca days, other than that he didnt do anything to be remembered
zidane r9 played for the best teams of their era. sure in the best teams everybody can show their potential. if zidane or r9 played for sevilla or fiorentina and did great then it would be a valid argument. otherwise this argument is bs by immature people

you have a point, but there is one big problem is your argument. First of all the players you mentioned, lets say Raul and Maldini were in their clubs for over 15 years. This includes the good times ( where they were undoubtedly the best in the world) also it included times when their teams struggled. My point is that these guys were consistent for longer periods of time.
I understand that Iniesta has been in the team for quite some time now, but only recently has he been a star in the team. If he shows consistency ( like Raul or Maldini for some time), and I really do think he will, then he will be considered a all time great.
This is not fair to Iniesta, because Raul and Maldini have played more games etc, but blame the OP for asking such a question so prematurely. Iniesta has lot of time in his side, and I am sure he will be considered atleast top 15 of this era.

Re: Is Iniesta already an all-time great?
Iniesta is playing for one of the best teams of all time and scored the winner for Spain's first wc and is a HUGE player for his club and his country so I would argue he will be remembered as a great.
Great player, would like him if not for his constant diving.

He will be an all-time great when he retires and football fans will remember his name as one of the most technically gifted midfielders of all time!
