Tomorrow/Sunday's card is one I will definitely be staying up for, though.
Hunt the first man to KO JDS. I believe.

Re: MMA Thread
I figure he'll fight the loser of Cain/Bigfoot for a title shot.
Actually, I think there's talk of him fighting Daniel Cormier, if so a couple of months I'd guess.

Re: MMA Thread
Looking forward to Silva vs Weidman, a lot of people think Weidman will get the upset.. I'm not so sure, I would never bet against Silva unless he moves in weight to fight Jon Jones or something like that
Btw, has anyone seen this?

Re: MMA Thread
silva deserved to get knocked out. the rematch is happening in december and i think if weidman stays focus and doesnt lose his drive he will beat silva again, this time with wrestling and GnP.
only fights im looking forward to this weekend is rory macdonald vs juggernaut jake. the card is a pretty good free card

Re: MMA Thread
Just saw the Jones vs Gustafsson fight from the weekend
Absolutely incredible. One of the best fights since I started watching UFC.
Had Gus winning 3-2, really hope to see an immediate rematch. Should give Jones a reality check on the talk of moving up to HW.

Re: MMA Thread
I gave rounds 2,4 and 5 to Jones.. Round 1 was the only 'clear' victory for Gus imo, the 3rd was a toss up
Jones also landed the harder shots and was pressing the action deep in the 5th, while Gus could barely stand
Awesome fight though, lived up to the hype!

Re: MMA Thread
What do you guys think of that GSP - Hendricks fight?
I was conflicted when they were reading the decision because I knew Hendricks had rounds 1 & 4 while GSP had 3 & 5, but I was unsure of round 2. Obviously Hendricks was all over him at the start of round 2 but GSP took control a couple of minutes into it and was a step ahead for the rest of that round. Any bystander could easily say that Hendricks won as far as a fight was concerned, but in terms of the MMA scoring system, I actually did have GSP up 3-2. Wouldn't have been surprised at all with Hendricks getting 3 rounds though
Sort of shitty GSP is retiring 'for a bit' now too. He's already 32, so I hope it's not long-term and we get to see a rematch. Finally having challengers to take on the unstoppable forces in the MMA world feels nice (Weidman, Gustafsson, now Hendricks).

I had the fight 3-2 for Hendricks.. I can kind of see how GSP got the decision but I don't agree

Re: MMA Thread
Ffs that Mark Hunt - Bigfoot fight. Both guys just exhausted, whipping punches hoping something would happen at the end like Griffin - Bonnar 1
A draw was honestly the fairest result. If anything, I had Bigfoot winning 3 rounds but Hunt definitely won the rounds he was on top during. No losers here.
