Legendary Video. Peter Murphy and Trent Reznor in the same room, absolutely kicking ass with this Bowie cover.

Reznor came up in the late 80's/early 90's with his gothic, nihilistic, and richly textured "Industrial" music with electronic atmospheres and beats. Reznor learned alot from early to mid 80's "post-punk" acts like Joy Division and Bauhaus (led by Peter Murphy), which also focused on dark, gothic, syntheziser- atmospherics-enfused rock songs, and these in turn learned from Bowie, which in the mid to late 70's laid the ground for the future as he was already doing "post-punk" and "industrial" music before it was a thing, with albums like Station to Station, The Idiot, Low, Heroes, Lodger, Scary Monsters, and even Diamond Dogs. Bowie in turn learned and was influenced by the electronic music and avant-garde structures sensibilities of Brian Eno and the German Krautrock bands like Neu!, Kraftwerk, Can, etc, which were in turn influenced by the European/American classical/early electronic Avant-Garde like Stochkausen, Terry Riley, Phillip Glass, and Steve Reich.

So in this video, you really do have a tribute to 30-40 years of European experimental music.

Almost posted this in the rap thread, but I think this is where this video belongs. Loved it.

I don't care what anyone says, Russians and Argentinians are the best metal crowds any band can ever hope to have live. You can brink up Wacken, Hellfest or Download; none of their crowds can rival these two in terms of energy:
