Ramos has for freedom playing for Spain because they are so dominant. It gives Ramos the chance to constantly overlap.

He's pretty much up there if you ask me.
The guy can Attack and Defend Physically we've seen what he can do. His problem though, is his Mental.
TOO MANY MISTAKES.

IMO that argument doesnt wash.
You dont move a player who is supposedly the second best in his position to a new position where he would struggle to be placed in a list of the top 20(top 20 CB's that is).
Especially if the player replacing the second best player is a player who is at best above average in Arbeloa.
Unless ofcourse Ramos really isnt the second best and is average which is the much more likelier scenario.
HUH!! the only time he was played as a full-time CB, he became the best defender of the season(2005-2006). donno what youre are on about
and about deploying him as a CB, well of course ive only just realised you know squat about us, so ill break it down for you cravalho is really really old, slow and allround garbage so instead of suffering through him we want to play ramos there as hes proved to be the best when playing as a CB until varane develops
and btw alves just shows how shite he is while playing for brazil because he doesnt get as much cover there as he gets from barca....but continue overrating him though
So why not buy a world class replacement for Carvalho and keep Ramos at RB where he is supposedly the second best and best internationally?
After all its a much better option than moving Ramos to CB(where he is not even top 20) and playing Arbeloa at RB.
Answer the question instead of avoiding it.

Re: How do you rate Sergio Ramos?
I would welcome to option to buy a world class CB and keep Ramos RB. Nothing wrong with it.
As good as Ramos is I don't see him getting much better at the RB position, but he has the potential to be even better playing the CB position.

Amazing career for spanish NT,one of their best performers...
Still getting called Average lol..
if any thing he is a very good RB not that "lol"s and "haahaha"
Then answer the question. If he is all that then why do many Madrid fans want to move him to CB and play Arbeloa of all people at RB.
First of all we have no ball playing CB at all in our team, a decent ball playing CB (carvalho) has declined drastically and cant be a starter any more. Then we have our best wing back in the world at going forward in marcelo who will always bombard throw left, hence our RB rarely joins attack. We actually plays a 3 men back line most of the time, hence Arbeloa who is defensively very good can move to RB.
Pepe is good enough with the ball at his feet.Certainly as good as Ramos(though thats not a high standard to aim at i admit).

who should we buy, silva??? no he wants to stay in ac milan, we tried for luiz but he was too expensive and then we HAD to get carvalho. now weve bought varane but of course we cant rely on him vs barca which is why we are "better safe than sorry"
btw weve even tried arbeloa as our CB, so Mou has pretty much tried every possible option before turning to a proven ramos
did you just copy and paste your previous post??? and i did answer it above lol

The too expensive option would be fine if this were Arsenal we were talking about.
Madrid just splashed 30 mil on Coentrao and you mean to tell me that the same couldnt be spent on Luiz.

Re: How do you rate Sergio Ramos?
RB is not his natural position
CB is, when we bought him his best season was when he was a CB and still is...
He is great defensively, he can be solid a whole game but then get a brainfart and let in a goal... but things improve with age, plus he has been very limited lately, also look at who is his partner ffs, its di maria.... he cant overlap or anything with him, he is very limited tactic wise and partner wise
He is WC both RB and CB imo

Re: How do you rate Sergio Ramos?
Pepe is good on the ball but too nervous and clears the ball too much, also he doesnt have the vision for a ball playing CB.alexjanosik wrote:Adit wrote:I dont want to talk behalf of RM fans simply because i dont know all of their opinion.I will put mine.

and lol at Ramos has no technique part, obviously undisputed spanish NT RB and best RB player of Euro,WC obviously has no technique..

they wanted us to buy him for about 40 mill, no defender is worth that much and especially not if perez is your president
coentrao isnt only a defender, i doubt he will ever be played as a defender with us. his price was money well spent since he is versatile covering the whole backline and midfield

Cannavaro was the best defender in 2005-2006. He even won the Ballon d'or the following season from a magical WC performance where most people here defend Ramos at.halamadrid2 wrote:

Please that's too much bias.
Look he's good for Spain. But people tend to forget that he also had help from a possession based style Spain utilized Like how some of us tend to discredit Alves' work for Barca.
He's not a World Class RB imo especially for Real Madrid.

Re: How do you rate Sergio Ramos?
Honestly not the best right back in the world
that position goes to Bacary Sagna
but all in all, he is fast athletic, extremely versatile, amazing in the air
positionally poor but thats rather common amongst modern day full backs
and its funny how those mentioning that he got tortured by every decent left winger, are the same people who rate a certain Gareth Bale so so highly, who he kept quiet in the Tottenham games
and he even kept David Villa quiet barring an awesome strike in the supercup
I honestly think in a year he will be playing Centerback but he aint a bad rightback

No, Henry or Ronaldinho did.......
Both went to the CL final, Ronaldinho won the league and was the best CL player that year aswell ffs......
Cannavaro was poor at league level that season he got raped by a 17 yr old Fabregas ffs.....
I dont care how great he was at the WC he didnt deserve it, just like Iniesta didnt deserve to finish top 3 based on his mediocre year.....

What an ignorant comment.
Are you aware of the events that unfolded after that season ?Do you something known as Calciopoli ?
Cannavaro infact had a great club season and he replicated that form with an outstanding perfomance in the World cup.
To say someone like Ramos( who only ever came into the reckoning that season) was better than Cannavaro or even to think that he was undeserved of the ballon d'or is an extremely delusional comment and that speaks volumes of your ignorance as well.

Keep hating Mole.FIFA always gives recognition to players who perform well in the world cup.In this case Cannavaro had an instrumental club season as well and not to mention quite outstanding in the world cup.
so you're basing his league level perfomance in a one off match in the Champions league knockouts.
And to think that he's faced far tougher opponents in the world cup
Wow you're hate for Cannavaro has gone to another level.
Havent we had this discussion before ?
Anyways world cup is far prestigious than CL for me.

So much recognition for Ramos.
And for the last time. The Ballon d'or is not related to FIFA back then so LOLUWHAT on your link.
