How do you rate Sergio Ramos?

My being a Barca fan aside, I actually do find this one interesting. He seems to have fallen off the pedestal of quality FBs recently, is he now properly rated? or is he one of Real Madrid's weak links?

actually he hasnt even been too bad this season.

did pretty well in el classicos and can improve but in someways been better last year

Best RB in the world.

He's poor going forward and always struggles against any decent winger/forward eg Babel, Henry, Villa etc have regularly taken him to the cleaners in the past.

Great in the air, can pull off the odd skill move (which ultimately gets him nowhere mind you) and has great recovery pace. That's about it though.

Great defender, great on the ball, decent going forward and an athletic specimen.

Has air for brains but that adds to his charm as a player. One of the best IMO for club and country.

not good enough at right back for me though to , not have him on center back position, with arbeloa at right back.

ramos-pepe partnership would be interesting to see more often, and with arbeloa being more defensively sound, and attacking wise adequate enough to replace ramos, ( which would replace the aging and near inadequate carvalho)

He has defensive lapses at RB sometimes but still one of the best at CB he is even better.

Honestly, he is just ovverated because he plays for Real. He is meh defensively and is not a consistent ofensive threat at RB, and when he plays CB he sometimes lacks discipline required for thr position. Puyol once called him his heir, I highly doubt he will ever reach puyols level of security and intensity. He is too fidgety for me and is another Madrid player that has suspect temperment...

I would take him in an blink of an eye. I rate him extremely high. He is infact probably the only Real madrid player i would blindly take in Atleti. I think people dont give him the credit he deserves. He is even better as a CB, but people say he makes too many mistakes. I mean Alves makes more defensive mistakes than him, but just because Barca keeps the ball 99% of the time is only reason why he doesn't get exposed go much.

In short, I still think Alves is a better fit for Barca because of his attacking abilities. However, Alves at Real madrid would be the biggest disaster ever imo.

Main point of the post: All i am saying is that there aren't may RBs in the world who can do a better job than ramos. Just my two cents.

Well marcelo outshined him on the other flank that's why he looks really bad going forward, add to that we really don't have a proper right winger so he doesn't look good. He's better in the CB position than RB position.

Sigh, he is a very good fullback actually, but it's pretty clear that he's better at CB.He's lost quite a bit of the pace he used to have.

Those saying he's crap are stupid.His performances with the Spanish NT alone deserve immense recognition.

Ramos is Awesome. I'm a barca fan but I love his game plus he's nasty when he needs to be. He also performs well for Spain when they need him.

I'm not really sure why people don't like him, but I do. His only problem is I think he plays down to competition sometimes. On the big stage he is usually great though.

Lets be honest here, Everyone loves the Flamboyance of Ramos, his style, his "i'm aggressive and strong but also don't give a sh1t attitude"

Truth be told even as far as Real Madrid goes:

Arbeloa>Ramos

I want to see him play CB more as Carvalho ages. Arbeloa/Coentrao/new guy to replace Ramos on the right flank next season.

I do like him as a player (technically). I think he used to be better. I still hate him as a character

Needs to get dropped for Arbeloa.
