New Juve, New Azzurri; New era of Calcio.
The start of a new era could well be on the horizon for Italian football. After the whole Calciopoli scandal, Italian football was left "in ruins". After 20 years of dominance, our league was supposedly done and dusted.
The last 5 or 6 years has been tough for the Italian league, especially for Juventus; a tarnished image loomed over both. Amidst it's crisis, Serie A and Italy would still claim 2 UEFA Champions League titles and a World Cup title. However, when compared to the 80s and 90s, Italian squads have not been as frequent in the semi-finals and finals of the tournament.
In 2006 the Calciopoli scandal would rock Italian football, destroying Juventus' and Italy's image and foundation. The Italian national may have used this for drive to win the 2006 World Cup, but it's club counterpart did not cope as well; Juventus were relegated and lost many of their star players. The Italian league's image was hurt, leading to it's attendance and revenue dropping.
The 2010 World Cup proved that Calcio needed to be renovated both for the Azzurri and the Bianconero along with Serie A. Relatively young and ambitious Cesare Prandelli took charge of the Italian national team with just enough experience and drive to build a new foundation for Italian football. Unlike Lippi, Prandelli has no favorites or grudges against players (save favoring Montolivo at the moment), therefore giving chances to every player and picking who deserves it the most. Prandelli has been calling up a range of players in order to explore options and think about the upcoming tournament (Euro '12).
Likewise for Juventus, the management realized change was needed. We decided to fold our 'brazilian cards' and part ways with Diego, Melo, and soon Amauri. Juventus looked to their past and decided to bring back Antonio Conte to the helm. Everything Conte lacks in the trophy and experience departments, he makes up with drive and ambition. He has brought back the Juventus Spirit to the club. Our players have grit and determination, and they are fighting for the team. Similar to Prandelli, Conte is giving chances to every player, and is thinking into the future at the same time. He is utilizing Pepe and Giaccherini while developing Elia and Estigarriba for later in the season. Juventus have also started a movement for Italian clubs to build and own their own state of the art stadiums. This will improve attendances, revenue, and popularity of the league.
As the dust begins to clear, Serie A and Italian football are beginning to rise again. The Italian national team is building a foundation to compete in the Euro 12 and WC 14, while Juventus continue to lead the Serie A table with a hungry and talented squad. Soon enough the financial fair play rules will be in effect, and Serie A will be on par with the rich EPL and flourishing La Liga. It may be too early to tell, but I think the signs are pointing in the right direction.
New coaches, New directions; Renewed ambition, Renewed determination; Juve and Azzurri are on the way back.

Re: New Juve, New Azzurri; New era of Calcio.
Juve wont win serie a title unless they utilize quagliarella.
Prandelli favours cassano and montolivo and has a grudge against matri and abate.
It is too early to call a revolutionary change, not impossible or highly unlikely... but i still dub this a knee jerk.

Re: New Juve, New Azzurri; New era of Calcio.
Matri=two call ups, one goal
I think its between Matri and Pazzini for one spot
Balotelli, Cassano, Rossi and even Giovinco are much more dynamic players who all deserve to be there.

Re: New Juve, New Azzurri; New era of Calcio.
clearly the OP is appropriately named
anyway 10 games havent even passed yet, lets revisit all this at the end of thes easona nd see jsut how acurate all this is, remeber how brightly started last season, we all thought the blues wuld run away with it and instead we crashed, whats to stop Juve doing that? absolutley nothing
honestly i think juve are very lucky inter and milan have been so poor this season and during this season wont be as good as they were in the last few seasons (more inter then milan) as this has given Jve the lead they have and will make CL qualification much easier
personaly i expect juve to qualify for the CL but even after the bright start theyve had this season, if theyre playing in the europa league next season it wouldnt be a hige surprise for me

Re: New Juve, New Azzurri; New era of Calcio.
Discounting Milan and Inter now for the title is senseless
Milan always has a stuttered start to the season. Its almost become like a tradition for Milan.
Juve, Milan, Inter and Napoli will all be legit title contenders this year

NO it wont because PL clubs are way ahead of Seria A clubs when it comes to generating money. Its just ignorant to believe FFP will bridge the gap if anything it will only increase the gap between Sera A clubs and PL club.Havent u seen how Inter had to sell Eto'o to balance the books?
As for some sort of revolution by Juve i would have expected their fans to keep their feet on the ground after the season they had last year.Surely being title contenders by december only to finish 7th at the end is enough to not get carried away with expectations.Apparently it seems not.

dude, unlike english clubs most serie a clubs have little to zero debt. the likes of manchester united, liverpool, and even man city is in debt. how the hell do think they are gonna be allowed to buy expensive players when the FFP clearly states that teams with debt will be EXCLUDED from the CHampions League?
Inter is just making itself READY for the FFP - maybe the likes of Man U and Liverpool should too soon

Because u dont know how FFP works
Where did u get this nonsense assumption that clubs will be excluded from CL if they have debt seriously
And sorry to disappoint u Liverpool have zero debt.So dont concern urself with Liverpool

Re: New Juve, New Azzurri; New era of Calcio.
what u dont realize is that the FFA will damage serie a even more. how much did juvi spend this year? how much was their net income last year ? you get the picture, and same thing goes for most italian teams
ps: debt has non to do with FFP

Juve is doing all their spending before the rules come into play. Juventus generally have great finances and will have no trouble with the new rules. After this year we are only going to need a couple key signings anyways so we will not be spending like we are now
