Dose that even make sense? It that how you reach a conclusion?
Go on then, how can anyone say that wilshere is the better football player. The same people were coming out last year and saying he was on xavi and iniestas level. As far as I'm concerned, both are on the same level, Ramsey has more talent than both but his injury has set him back. Cleverley in all our games dictated our tempo, wilshere never did for arsenal. For United I would rather have Cleverley thank you very much.

So your sit gonna there and tell me that after 3/4 games, that Cleverley is better than Wilshere? ANd it ain't for United, you made the thread, this is for Englands future and Wilshere is better. Ramsey was better than both and yes the injury has set him back but currently Wilshere is the best of the 3 and you should know that Wilshere's role is not to dictate the tempo of the game.
Get you head out arse. Stop being so damn blind.

I can name 7 or 8 English midfielders that will be better than Cleverley in 3 years time.
Young and Walcott are both very good at what they do but they lack the technique, creativity and dynamism the likes of Oxlade, Sturridge etc could potentially offer us.
Parker and Cole will both probably have retired by then.
Re: Smalling if you're planning on playing him at RB then he definitely won't be getting in the team.
Okay...so go on mr prediction, I mean wasn't walcott meant to be the next best thing? He is bloody awful. Cleverley is a starter for a better team than wilshere. He is better, end of.
Off the top of my head Wilshere, Tom Carroll, McEachran, Rodwell, Ross Barkley, Ra'vel Morrison & Henri Lansbury will all go on to become better players than Cleverley. Don't get me wrong I like Tom and I think he'll go on to become a good Premier League player but he's getting way too much hype atm. Might sound harsh but he's no better than Mark Noble was at his age for example.
And you're obviously a troll if you honestly believe Tom Cleverley is a better player than Jack Wilshere. Cleverley has 3 years of development on him but he's still comfortably the more talented player. Him playing for Arsenal has *bleep* all to do with anything.

Re: Can England be like Spain?
I think that is the stance that leads to English NTs never being put together from the best players for the team. Either the players are selected for their names, or in this case they seem to be chosen for the reputation of the team they are playing in. Why can't people simply judge the English players on what they actually do?jibers wrote:Sure he is, Cleverley starts for The top 3 team in Europe, Wilshere starts for the top 7 best club in the EPL...
In the German squad, Löw even chose a defender (!) of a team that was just relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga for his 2010 line-up (Arne Friedrich, Hertha), and obviously he wasn't half bad in his job.

Re: Can England be like Spain?
Cleverly must be the most over-rated player in the world now.
3 Starts for United in his ENTIRE CAREER. 3 F***** Starts.
We saw HOW BRILLIANT likes of Welbeck, Walker, Jones, Smalling and Cleverly were in Denmark earlier this summer

Re: Can England be like Spain?
That group of United players are responsible for United having their best start to a season under SAF. I think all of them, barring any injuries, will get picked for the Euro 2012 team.
It will benefit England too, all of those players train with each other each day, they know each others game inside out. Don't be against this just because it is United players, they are getting picked on merit.

Re: Can England be like Spain?
Will it help England be the best England they can possibly be? Yes
Will it ultimately make up the difference in talent looking upwards at what Germany and Spain have? Probably not

Re: Can England be like Spain?
Italy 2006 was Juve heavy;
The key players will have a star in front:
Buffon*
Zambrotta*
Cannavaro*
Camoranesi*
Del Piero
Hence, it is a myth that the 2006 was Juve heavy, as Lippi simply choose based on performance which is why the teams representing the national team were 9, with Udinese and Inter being the lowest represented with one each.
