England National Team Watch
Goalkeepers
Scott Carson, Joe Hart, David Stockdale
Defenders
Leighton Baines, Gary Cahill, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka, Phil Jones, Micah Richards, John Terry, Kyle Walker
Midfielders
Gareth Barry, Stewart Downing, Adam Johnson, Frank Lampard, James Milner, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Ashley Young
Forwards
Darren Bent, Andy Carroll, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Bobby Zamora.
I know I say this almost everytime but surely THIS is the worst English squad in decades?
I know the likes of Wilshere, Cleverley, Gerrard, Ferdinand, Smalling etc are out but *bleep* me. No idea how Sturridge didn't get a call up either (not that I'm complaining.)

Re: England National Team Watch
If Greece can win a Euro with 11 dudes most people never heard of then England can get by with that squad.
The English always have an excuse ready don't they
(I still want them to do well though, they deserve a moment in the sun again after all these years.)

Re: England National Team Watch
Surprised at Exclusion of Sturridge as well especially because of Zamora.
Also think Defoe has been good....but fook me, that Central Midfield is dire.
Thank god Capello was smart enough not to call Gerrard after playing 45 minutes in 6 months

Re: England National Team Watch
To be honest the little i have seen of johnson he impressed me a lot more than sturridge but i wpuldve selected both of them.
Cant beleive garry and milner are still playin lol
For me i think englands problem has been that use really havent had a solid 11 to choose from use are constantly changing line ups.
Capello just like the previous coaches doesnt have a prffered 11 and he needs to decide one soon.
And then he can go from there.

Argentina won something that wasn't in black and white.
And Brazil wankfests are usually justified.

So true.
Most English fans are man enough to admit we're *bleep* awful atm but Argentina, Brazil, Italy etc are no better either.

Why isn't there more love for Parker? Sure he isn't the best player but the man will bust a lung if you tell him to.
Really love his hustle.

Re: England National Team Watch
What starting lineup would you guys want to see for the Euros?
Its hard finding a place for Gerrard or Lampard cause I doubt Capello will play without a targetman. I would go with this though:

will agree with brazil and argentina being crap right now.Gil wrote:Magricos wrote: Italy are better though.

But not italy we have come on in leaps and bounds since the world cup, dnt think england can really say the same.
Espc when the coach after 3 years still doesnt have a preffered line up.
Italy shouldve of beaten germany and we beat spain, yes i know they were freindlies but still cant they dont count for anything.
I mean can u honestly england couldve done better
