Which National Team is Stronger: England, Portugal, France or Denmark ?

I think all 4 teams are almost at the same level and comparable.

They have the squad with the most comprehensive coherent talent among the countries listed.

They have a style that is slightly distinctive and tactics that can accomodate players and that each player can buy into.

As a squad England are better than all the other teams mentioned.

As for the strongest side Portugal have the strongest XI of the four teams.Followed by France , England and then Denmark.

But it hardly matters.I would even back Denmark against England in an international match.

Even as a squad France for me is better than England.They look pretty solid in every department but you certainly cant determine a team's quality on paper definitely.

So i would go with Portugal as well.

To be serious, I think France have technically more gifted players. And I really rate Lloris, Benzema and Ribéry very highly. The latter only has to be injury free.

On talent , the squad are about equal.But the French talent is spread very evenly across the pitch while most of the english talent is concentrated through the middle.

English talent seemingly are incompatable with each other so....that's a problem.

France in the past few years have been pretty lacklustre as well.They have great individual quality but they havent really gelled well as a team and as a unit.

Whilst England do wonderfully well in it comes to the qualifiers but choke and crumble under pressure in major International competitions.

Tbh for me there's not much difference between France and England.Both are meh anyway.

France, with Ribéry and Sagna fit. They at least have gone farther than England when properly coached. Don't have the master choker trait.

A combined France / England will have more English players than french based on club form i.e. on paper.

First XI:
Lioris , Sagna , Terry , Sakho , A.Cole , M'Ville , Gerrard . Ribery , Young , Benzema and Rooney

Second XI :
Hart , Johnson , Rio / Smalling , Remy , Abidal , Wilshere , Cabaye , Nasri , walcott , Lampard , Bent.

So i think England is more talented than France on paper.


Ofcourse in an international tournament its different thing altogether.I would rather put my money on Cameroon to win Euros than England.Wouldnt make much difference to my chance of winning

Actually I don't hate England. I just find them highly amusing

IMO the Frenchies do have some good players in their squad and as mentioned above already, with a proper coach they can actually play pretty well. Domenech was pretty much the problem causing France's lacklustre performances.

Of course one can make the same argument for England, as Capello doesn't seem to stand to his word and pick the best in-form players instead of the biggest name players. I think England again missed the chance to put together a fresh team and give them time to gel as press and fans seem to expect results NAO and don't give them time to develop.

Denmark is like Uruguay of Europe.

Again, you can't rate France based on their form during the Domenech years... he was insane and everyone hated him.

Blanc got the job and had to rebuild the team core values from scratch. The FFF suspended Abidal, Evra and Ribery for 1-3 games. He brought in a very young and new team. And of course, there have been a ton of injuries over the past 9 months.

Unless you have a Thuram, Makalele, Vieira, Zidane and Henry as the core of the team, you need a manager that knows what he's doing... especially with a young squad. We finally have one who is competent.

After losing his first 2 games as manager of the NT, Blanc's France has not lost a game in over 13 months. And the team has never conceded more than 1 goal in any of those games. The foundation is set (defense). The talent is there. All it needs is health, experience and time to gel on the attack. With a little luck, we should be peaking come the Euro.
