Re: Milan Junior Camp News
I was hoping Calvano might get a couple of minutes against arsenal if things went according to plans, but it seems unlikely now that he will get a chance to make a debut
Also its been a long time since De Sciglio has made an appearance for Milan since his debut..

Sorry to upload footage of a defeat, particularly to Inter, however I just found the video of the recent Primavera derby, which at least allows us to watch some more of our youngsters.
Also if anyone else is confused by the soundtrack chosen for this video, you're not alone.

The Allievi Nazionali side, comprised mostly of the Year of '95 has been excelling recently, going to the top of their table, their closest rivals being Inter and Chievo, and being invited to take part in the Aegon Future Cup in Amsterdam.
-------------------
Omar Danesi’s Allievi Nazionali side have been invited by Ajax to participate in the Aegon Future Cup which takes place from 7 – 9 April in Amsterdam. Besides the host and the Rossoneri, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Besiktas will also take part.

On Sunday, the team will play twice Barca at 11.30 and at 14.30 they’ll be up against the German side with the semi finals and the final being played on Monday.

Re: Milan Junior Camp News
An interview with the coach of our Allievi Nazionali side, Omar Danesi from the Official Website.
------------------
After yesterday’s win over Bologna, Milan’s Allievi Nazionali will take part in the prestigious Aegon Future Cup at the Ajax Academy in Amsterdam where they’ll be up against among others, the hosts, Barcelona and Manchester United. Coach Danesi speaks:
A big win yesterday against Bologna, is that right?
“It was a huge win because it puts us back on top of the table. It was a tough game and I saw the right mentality from my players who fought hard and performed technically very well.”
Does this cancel out the disappointment of the Arco di Trento tournament?
“A bit yes. We had a bit of a dip in our results at that time. We’re calmer now at a physiological level and fresh from yesterday’s win we’re getting ready for our international commitments in Amsterdam.”
The Aegon Future Cup. How will your team go into the competition?
“We’ll go to Amsterdam with the aim of showing our qualities and our character and most of all to show that we’re the reigning Italian champions. This competition can be good for the group and you know what else?”
Please.
“We’ll be up against teams like Barcelona and Manchester United but we’ll play our game with all of them and I want to reduce to an absolute minimum the possibility of making a bad impression. We respect our adversaries but they have to respect us too.”
What are you expecting from these three days?
“It’ll be an educational experience for both the players and me. We’ll be up against teams that are not comparable to the teams here in Italy. Personally, I’ll be looking at how things work in the youth sector abroad, if they only play for results or if they’re interested in the player as a person as well, or if they do both."
Lastly, how has the group grown since the start of the season?
“A lot. I’m proud of the players’ growth both mentally and technically. I’m lucky to be coaching a group like this. They’re starting to realize how good they can be. Not that we’re unbeatable but the kids are maturing well and they’re getting that winning mentality that is needed for individually and as a team.”

Sounds like he's a good coach and that we have a good crop of players coming up for the next 5-10 years. Now, if only we could integrate them into the team and maintain our very high standards at the same time. Playing against teams like Ajax and Barca is great because those clubs are really the pinnacle of youth management.dostoevsky wrote:An interview with the coach of our Allievi Nazionali side, Omar Danesi from the Official Website.

Carmona is one of the Primavera players that Allegri regularly allows to train with the squad, alongside De Sciglio and Valoti. I saw him play when our Primavera side took on Cagliari's Primavera, he was at the heart of every attack, loves to take players on and works hard. We acquired him from Barcelona last summer.

Sorry, your typo made me think there was a different player called Cramona. Carmona's re-signing is definitely great news.

The Rossoneri draw in Cesena ahead of Saturday's match against Varese.
MILANO – The Rossoneri without Comi and Carmona, suspended and injured respectively, drew 2-2 in Cesena. Ganz gave his team the lead twice only for Vesi to equalize in the first half and Lolli to make it 2-2 in the second half.
Saturday’s match against Varese at the Vismara sports centre is now vital to get through to the Final Eight. Milan are currently second in their group with Varese on equal points and only the top two will qualify automatically.

AC Milan 2 - Varese 0
Dolcetti’s players win a vital match 2-0 against Varese with goals from Ganz and Valoti. They only need a point next Saturday against Cittadella to go straight through to the Final Eight.
A big win for Dolcetti’s Primavera side this afternoon despite having to play ¾’s of the match with only 10 men after Rodrigo Ely was sent off after 25 minutes. On 28’, Innocenti’s cross from the right found Ganz whose turn and shot gave the keeper no chance. On 39’, Valoti made it two with a free kick scoring his first goal of the season.
Comi also found the back of the net in the second half but the ref disallowed the goal for what he saw a push from the Rossoneri striker on the defender. The Rossoneri are now through to the Final Eight play offs and only need a point from next weekend’s match against Cittadella to earn automatic qualification.
