Re: Milan Junior Camp News
Milan CEO Adriano Galliani at half-time during the Primavera quarter-final between Roma and Milan commented on the Rossoneri peformance: "Roma played better than us and deserve their lead. However, we always do better in the second half and we hope to draw level. Winning the Primavera title would bode well for the future." Galliani added, "From July 12th, as well as Merkel we'll bring also Fossati, Calvano, De Sciglio and Valoti [former Albinoleffe] on pre-season training at Milanello." There was also time to mention the transfer market, "President Berlusconi has been making Milan gifts for 25 years, a left-sided midfielder will be signed."

Re: Milan Junior Camp News
Our Primavera side eliminated from the Final Eight .
Comment from Stroppa
The Primavera Rossoneri have been eliminated from the Final Eight. At the Porta Elisa stadium in Lucca, Roma defeated Milan 1-0 in the quarter-final tie of the Primavera championship. A goal by Montini on 45 minutes gave the Giallorossi the advantage. Milan came close to equalising after the interval. In the 82nd minute, Albertazzi placed a header in the hands of the Roma goalkeeper, while a minute later Verdi sent Ganz through on goal, but his shot went just wide.
Comment from Stroppa
"I don’t understand why the boys were so uptight and on edge. They got their approach to the game wrong. It’s a shame about the result, we left our opponents the entire first half, then after the break we tried to pull back the deficit, but without success. The real Milan though is the one we saw in the second half.” The coach touched on Merkel’s performance, adding, “How he played today doesn’t take anything away from his ability. It was difficult for him to settle into the team after training only five times with the squad.”

Re: Milan Junior Camp News
ALBERTO PALOSCHI says Milan is like a family for him.
The former Parma guy returned to Milan and is willing to make the most of it and prove his worth during the pre-season as his future at Milan is hanging in the balance following his young age (21).
Paloschi, who scored two goals in two games for Italy Under 21 in the Torneo di Tolone, feels that Milan is a family for him and he wants to be decisive for Milan after spending time of loans and co-ownership.
“I am very young and have a great desire to learn and grow,” he said. “Milan is a family, I arrived in a very early age to Milan and spent much time in this environment and I see it as my family.
“My target is when I play, is to be decisive so I hope to be decisive when I get my opportunities.”

The regular season finished, but the finals are still going (without Milan )
Re: Milan Junior Camp News
McLewis posted a great video of the Milan-Roma primavera match which we unfortunately lost over in the Roma section, I thought I'd bring it here as well, it shows extended highlights and is a good chance to watch a few of our players in distress as well as including some nice play in the second half.

Our first half was awful. Could have lost 2/3-0 in the first half alone.

Caprari was desperately unlucky not to score several times for Roma, they found space too easily, whilst our ability to clear or hold the ball in defence was poor when we needed a leader. Albertazzi also clearly thinks he's the Kaiser which wasn't good for us, though I liked the fact that he wasn't afraid to slide tackle. Even for their dominance we crafted clear cut chances to equalise, though we really need to see some of the midfield battle to make any further observations.

Also Albertazzi lacks a bit of pace for someone who enjoys sauntering up the field with the ball, unless he really does simply jog back.

Re: Milan Junior Camp News
We're lucky the score was kept down to 1-0 .. Caprari hit the post 3 times , im not sure but whoever played on the right of Milan's defense was having an absolute shocker, that side was repeatedly broke down and quite frankly embarrasingly easy at times.
The positives we can take out've the match though is that the second half the team was much better and took on a better approach to the game.
Kudos to the Roma team who deservedly move on the the next round of the competition.

Re: Milan Junior Camp News
France will take on Colombia in the final of the 2011 Toulon Tournament after defeating Italy 1-0 in the last four on Wednesday evening.
A 62nd minute goal from 20-year-old Lens forward Steven Joseph-Monrose proved to be the difference between the two teams.
Italy created a few chances in the second-half and could have equalised late in the match had Alberto Paloschi not squandered an open-goal chance.
Italy will now take on Mexico in the third-place play-off on Friday, while later in the evening on the same day France will lock horns with Colombia for the trophy.
The South Americans defeated Mexico 2-1 in the other semi-final earlier today. Edwin Cardona broke the deadlock after 37 minutes, and two minutes into the second-half Valencia made it 2-0. Izazola netted an injury-time consolation for Mexico.

Re: Milan Junior Camp News
Stroppa is no longer part of Milan and it was suggested that he had decided to leave his post as the Primavera coach. However, the former Rossoneri player now reveals that he did not left, he was fired.
This is a bit surprising as Stroppa was successful in his time, winning the TIM Cup last year and had a real chance to clinch the Scudetto this term, but a defeat to Roma ended his hopes to be Primavera Champion.
“I wasn’t the one to leave this job, but the club dropped me without warning and they didn’t give me a reason, what has been written is completely untrue,” Stroppa told the microphones of Milannews.it on Saturday.
“I never had any sensation that things could go this way, as I am certain I did a good job, gave the side a precise identity and improved their performances from the previous campaign.
“Don’t ask me why I was treated this way, because I haven’t a clue. You’d need to ask the club.”
Aldo Dolcetti could be the new manager of the Primavera.
