For me, Tchouameni is a waste in midfield. Doesn't cover the middle well and his decision making is just too slow.

Ceballos is a better option. That's telling.

Im gonna downplay again Sevilla are nothing like the past n it was easy for us... the goals n performance are good obviously but for example the highline cost us another goal n some marginal offside chances for the opponent... we dont have Araujo who can recover the ground so wonder if we will continue to do that in the classico cos Vini n Mbappe are gonna be so happy if we do

We are playing on energy-saving mode in 2nd halves.. the goal we conceded was because we got relaxed toward the end of the game leading 4-0 but yes indeed the highline is always a risky tactic. But we've only conceded 3 more goals than RM but scored 12 more.

Flickswagen is impressive because we lead 3-0 by HT and can chill out and just stroll the other 45 mins conserving our stamina.

All in all it's better than staying back and winning 1-0 every game and fearing we may draw until the very last minute but yeas the high line might cost us against bigteams with Pena in goal especially. No better way to test it than vs Bayern and Madrid consecutively.

Definitely agree we are doing much better, the way we seem to overpower teams quickly n can then rotate a lot is great. Lets see the real test this week of our true level

Bit disappointing, n even this last game he was frustrated n angry cos Vini didnt pass to him to score Last season when Real had Kroos he could push up n goal poach, but now with no functioning midfield n Mbappe dont defend means hes had to make the scarifice n do it much more, hence the frustration it seems On the one hand its good to see Real struggle a bit but I also wanna see top player shines so I often feel two sided when watching them nowadays

It’s a work in progress! Carlo struggling to find right configuration, who to play in midfield and dealing with a depleted defense.

Mbappe still hasn’t shown his talent, clearly not as good as Vinicius although he supposedly is as talented.

Rodrygo frustrated although he is clearly the one to the bench when they don’t play 3 forwards.

Bellingham is having difficulty adjusting to a different role, meanwhile Guler who shows impressive promise is frustrated at not being given more opportunities.

Tchouameni is same as Mendy, useless for offense and some questionable mistakes in defense. Valverde is likely the most consistent, but they suffer from no clear roles. Camavinga must be getting frustrated as he consistently loses out to Tchouameni and he is the likely expendable if new midfielders as rumoured come in next year. Modric although good moments, his age is showing.

And defense clearly struggling due to injuries to Alaba and Carvajal. Militao is not as good as he was before ACL injury. Club seems to be on a path for both free transfers Davies and Trent A-A, but as they learned this summer, nothing is certain. Rumours today say they are making a play for Saliba plus already talks about Xabi Alonso coming next season and bringing Wirtz with him.

This is typical Flo, assembling a team of superstars or galacticos. It’s difficult to form a cohesive team with the internal competition. Difference this time around is the stars are throughout the entire squad and he is doing it without spending outrageous signing fees.

But I trust Carlo will work it out.

Sanchez Martinez is a very controversial figure against us and a clear Negreira stooge. We are trying to purge the lot, you would thank us if you weren't in cahoots with the league.

We are not going to be able to string 3 passes together. This current lot have no idea how to play out from the back especially without Camavinga. Dont know whag Carlo sees in Tchouaméni but he is a big reason why our midifeld has been so underwhelming this season.

Not sure but u looked soft in the center d without him though n no other proper DM u have anymore looks like so not much choice if Ancelotti wants safety? Still remember everybody raving about him though when u guys signed him

I feel safer with this high line than ever under Xavi. Thats also because we're playing vertically and keeping the ball away from our box

Its a strength not a weakness, and its the way we know how to play, sitting back is not Barca

I wish thats true n we might pull it off, but Real got the 2 best n fastest forwards while we dont have anyone fast lol... so its extremely risky n more likely than not the likes of Modric n Bellingham would find the pass behind even if we press them hard...

Even Lille can pressure us into making turnovers. Moreover, bar Modric none of our midfielders can create consistently. The closest ones are Camavinga and Guler. One will obviously not play and the other one doesn't have Carlo's unconditional support yet.

Well, ur midfield suck atm everyone knows that n prolly predicted it to be so Not sure about Camavinga but personally I had high expectations of him n maybe sort of make or break for him if he lives up to it... cos the others arent good enough to do so. I imagine either him or Modric to start n if it doesnt work out sub the other... pretty sure Ancelotti wont mind a draw n need to have Tchua in there to avoid getting beat, cos u guys looked weak defending without him.

But overall, Real arent as crazy as Bayern n will be much more solid, so we arent gonna score 4 again like some ppl think lol, Raphinha is on fire but hes just not gonna score every game... hes not Vini/Mbappe level even if hes on form of his lifetime.

As for finding the pass behind us I just dont think it will be that hard if our line is on the half way line again Even I can boot the ball up field than its just a race for it which Vini/Mbappe are gonna win every time

Tchouaméni is almost like a traffic cone defensively and passes like a CB. I had higher expectations for him. He came to us with the reputation to be better Casemiro but right now I'd probably start Valverde over him in that CDM role. That's how pointless starting him has been.

Camavinga's raw talent is what Vini's was before Carlo came aboard to help him refine it. He'll make stupid mistakes in our own third and pick up needless yellows but that kid is crazy talented. He is the complete package, just wish he could join Vini in becoming Carlo's pet project because what he needs is consistent minutes and not be the first to get subbed.

Rayo also play a highline but if you haven't got the time to pick a pass it won't work. Remmeber us being terrible that game. What we need is to work ourselves out of the first line of the press and find Vini and Mbappe quickly. If this season is anything to go by, a whole half will go before we manage to reach the opposition penalty box as our midfielders and defenders piss about on the ball. Ugghh Modric save us...

Stop with this defeatism man. We've conceded only 2 goals more than last season at the same stage with this supposed crazy high line. Considering that we've scored 13 more, the net positive is obvious that it's worth it.

Not only that, it allows us to score a lot of goals early into the game and manage the fitness of our players better with rotation.
