Agreed,abidal offers little to nothing offensively still he is a top 3 LB.How so?

That oldschool fullbacks are outdated for gods sake.

I would take jose angel,Enrique,marcelo etc over abidal any day.

Hes probably the most solid fb defensively ,that makes up for it.

Julian draxler...Superb dribbler, passer, godlike ball control, technical wise and excellent finisher when the duty calls. He plays as a AM tho, one of the best talents of bundesliga. Only 17 and future looks bright and successful to him imo.

Abidal offers nothing offensively? Does anyone watch our games? He is excellent at getting out of tight situation with the ball at his feet.

Also

Doesnt even include last season where he was better then ever in both going forward and defending.

This season and he isnt even 100% fit yt.

Most overrated players are usually hyped youngsters.I'd say Ozil or Götze, they're the most overrated right now, specially Götze because he didn't face top competition until now so people speculate like sky is the limit Very Happy

He is very average going forward,his offensive contribution is very little.

One or two you tube videos doesnt make him a better wing back.

He's a Fullback, bro. Different positions and, IMO, he's one of the best today.

You say 1 or 2 youtube vids, I say parts of 3 seasons worth of evidence cut down into 2 videos.

And who said better, because I didnt?

Anyone who says Abidal is useless going forward..then changed their mind to average...are making stuff up.

Anyone can watch the videos and see your wrong, he clearly isnt useless or average going forward.

Anyone who actually watched Barca games with two eyes can see your wrong without the videos.

Lionel Messi dont think i'm stupid enough not to understand the thread title..

I mean some players who are highly rated by journalists and experts dont get that recognition on this PARTICULAR FORUM mainly due to the fact that its such a diverse forum who would most probably concentrate on their team's league but watch the other leagues to a lesser extent perhaps..

For instance Kwadwo Asamoah who had such an outstanding league season would barely get recognized ON HERE cuz he doesnt play for one of the top clubs in the world..Hell i rate him very highly..I also mentioned Isla in my previous post..

Abidal is not average going forward, I don't even watch Barca games so often but I've seen him against Real Madrid and I've seen him go forward more than Alves lately IMO

he is a decent passer i agree on that. But his offensive contribution is so little compared to the elite wing backs.
