Who is the the most criminally underrated player out there?

For me, I would have to say Inler. Criminally underrated for me, he does so many things at a high level.

Who do you guys think is also very underrated today?

You really need to watch our games continuously to see why he is so valuable (in which he has played all bar 2 including one CL suspension).

I dont know how many of you watch la liga here ( not just real n barca), but there are lot of underrated talents in spain. To the ones who watch it regularly i am sure you rate them fine, but the rests probably dont.

Here is my top 3:

La liga
Rondon (Malaga) , Gonzalo Rodriguez (Villarreal) and Xavi Prieto ( Real Sociedad)

From EPL:

Lucas Leiva ( Pool), Downing (Pool), Roger Johnson (Wolves)

Holger Badstuber. Poor boy always gets so much flak, but is in fact amazingly solid.

I dont think Cazorla is underrated at all. I am not too sure maybe in this forum, but this guy is imo the most important player for Villareal last year. He would easily make it into my La liga XI.


Kameni, i totally agree with.

Miro Klose is criminally underrated, too.

Marchisio,Paolo Canavaro, Camoranesi(was), QUAGLIARELLA !,

Marchisio: one of the best CMs in Italy, if not THE best, but gets bashed all the time. Extremely smart, tactical player that has winger style dribbling skills and shooting (just not the speed), and is very versatile.

Chiellini: whenever people mention the best centerbacks in the world, I always see Vidic, Terry, even Pepe and Pique more than Chiellini. In my opinion right now, only Vidic and an on form Terry are better than Chiellini, and its only slightly, and all 3 are quite a bit above guys like Pique and Pepe. Silva is somewhere in the middle.

Podolski: in all seriousness now, talentwise I still think hes among the top players inthe world. He may not have ever fulfilled his true potential but he certainly didnt flop either for those who watch him. Sure, hes at a small club, but he loves it there and it doesnt mean hes a small player. Hes an excellent dribbler, very fast, actually very smart as he creates so much at Koln, and has a cannon of a left foot. I heard people calling him to be replaced on the national team by Schurrle, thats a joke. Schurrles a good player, but lets compare them headto head. Podolski bas more goals and assists this season, Poldi had 13 last season for the 10th place team, Schurrle had 15 for tbe 5th place team that were in 2nd place for half the season. Not to mention, Leverkusen 1-4 Koln, Podolski 2 goals 2 assists, Schurrle red card.

Geromel: easily one of the bet defenders in the bundesliga and one of the best brazilian defenders around tbe world, but just like podolski, because be playsfor a small club he gets no recognition. He deserves to be at the very least called up for Brazil, or since his parents are italian, a Chiellini-Geromel partnership would be a dream. The problem as of late has been that Sereno still hasnt really proven himself, and before that Mohammed was in serious decline. But when Mohammed was still younger, in 08-09, Koln finished 12th, but had one of the best defenses in the league, thanks to Mohammed and especially Geromel.

Other players I feel are underrated are Marin, Lavezzi, Vidal, Quagliarella, Sahin, and Holtby.

Podolski can only be criminally underrated because even his more ferocious fans underplay his awesomeness

Gotta agree with Podolski, Campagnaro and Kameni all great talents that are consistently overlooked...
