Is it in any possible to have a chat facility here, or incorporate a link to a chat facility where people can post on these forums but at the same time chat to anyone else who's online? I think it's worth a try, definitely. It won't hinder the use of the forum because the chat facility would be very, very casual and a great way for the community to engage with each other and get to know each other more.

juve section had vero chat, maybe someone from there can creat similar system for whole forum

Don't you get mini chatboxes on these forums or something ? They either appear at the top or bottom I think.

And yes, we should definitely give the idea a try. With the chat box we'll get to know members personally plus it's an easy way to get quick info about what's happening with different teams and in football. Then the forums can still be used for lengthy discussion to discuss things with everyone.

I made one for juve section back in the lithium and in vbulletin it was on vero bianconero ...i like the idea let me talk to the other admins and we will get back to you .

Even though it's a good idea...i think it's a too early.... you would need atleast one mod on at all time to stop trolling and spam.....chatbox is all sites easily get spammed....

for now people should just use Skype....

until the site is stable and we have few mods then we should get a chatbox

A chat feature can be potentially chaotic and tough to moderate with so many users talking at one time. I personally don't like the idea of it being used in general, but I don't see much of a problem if it's used during matches as a form of commentary. That's just my opinion though.

you can create a match-day irc channel and link it on the menu at the top
