Rooneys alround play absolutely 5hits on Ronaldo.
CR7 cant play in the tight spaces, he cant dictate tempo, he hasnt the delicate touch around the box nor the footballing brain of Rooney.
Nor do i expect him to.
CR7 is an out and out winger converted into a striker. He either runs at pace or leads the line. Hes the most devastating direct player Ive ever seen. But the magic has somewhat left him. Hes a pure goalscorer who can score from range but thats it. For skill on the ball id chose Silva or Fabregas over him.
Rooney is god atm, best no 10 by miles atm (Messi is a no 8/ 9 /10...34 LOL)
for people to even scoff at the thought of Wayne not being top tier is a joke and shows personal bias and lack of fundamental footballing knowledge.

I have to say, Rooney has impressed me ever since he got back into form at the second half of last season.

I don't know why it's ridiculous to think Rooney is better than Ronaldo.

To think Ronaldo's is better is fine, but to not even understand that Rooney can be dubbed better or on a similar level, is what's not fine.

Some of the stuff I've seen Rooney do, I haven't even seen Ronaldo attempt to do, yet it's ridiculous to think he's better. Rolling Eyes

3 months of mediocrity, 5 weeks which he actually missed due to injury...
World Class 2011...

BUT...BUT...THOSE 3 MONTHS...

Give it up son. Its not fans clutching at a few games here, its bitter nobodies clutching at a bad few months (he was a psychological mess at the time) out of 24 months.
And he was out with an ankle injury for 1/2 of those 3 months.

Scoring when your teams wins 7-0 doesnt matter actually. Barcelona won cr's team 2-0 and rooney's team 3-1 in cl

About cr's stats, when the competition was there it was 41 goals 12 assists in 50 games------after the competition finished remained 4 useless games vs second league teams and in those games cr made it 53 goals 16 assists. then after his team-mates said that we wanted to make cr top-scorer. this is lol actually

use less games? Football is not played by one team .The difference in points between 18th team and 8th team was just 3 points in 35th round.do you know that?

both are fantasic.. I might even rate Rooney higher than anybody on this forum. He is just playing phenomenal right now..

That being said I also rate CR7 the highest Very Happy

he takes it for me.. hes numbers speak for themselves..

and at united you could cleardly see who the dominant was. Yes Rooney might be a more polished diamond now than he was two/three years ago. But he needs to show more conistansy aswell as score more goals to come on messi/ronaldo level
