Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo
#Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo ! (at least this is my opinion) - Cristiano score goals? Iniesta create goals. (Create>Finish)

Re: Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo
I think goalscorers who score as many goals as Ronaldo will be rated above midfielders.

not really...
Huntelaar scored 53 goals this season (club and country), Gomez 47 etc.. Still no one mentions them...
Cristiano is over-hyped by media... Media wants someone to compete with Messi and make a competition (to gain more money etc... )
Cristiano can score goals, good-looking?, big fan base (especially girls), playing for a big club like Real Madrid...

Re: Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo
Creating is just as important as scoring. If one doesn't score, one can't win. On that same note, for one to score, he needs to either create the chance himself or have someone create it for him.

Which ...in your opinion...is a more difficult skill?

Ronaldo scored 60 for club. More than Huntelaar and Gomez.
Also Iniesta had 11 assists last season, while Ronaldo had 15.

Re: Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo
I grew up with the mantra that goal scoring is the hardest thing to do in football which of course is a myth so I probably think both are of equal difficulty if one looks at it fairly.
I do believe play makers in general tend to be more skillful than forwards as they spend more time with the ball which makes Messi such a unique talent. The little bugger can do both extremely well.
Trying to use fair logic in a Khaled thread is extremely difficult...

Creating Chances, open spaces etc =/= Assists #lol
Most of Cristiano's assists are from Crosses (it has nothing to do with creativity or vision)
Forwards playing for Top teams, usually have between 10-15 assists a season, cause they are FORWARDS, most of the final passes has to be from one of them.. example: Even Rvp has (13) and Huntelaar (12) assists this season.

Iniesta is better at creating and has better vision, however he isn't the only playmaker in the World that creates and has good vision. Since he plays for Barca he'll be recognised more.

Re: Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo
One needs vision and some creativity to put in a good cross. More so vision and technique than creativity...

Re: Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo
Iniesta finished the tournament as the best player with 1 assist....and even that assist was...pretty below average (simple lay off for Navas).
Didn't score a single goal in his 20 shots
Completed a relatively normal amount of passes for any Spanish midfielder at a relatively normal clip.
And still, for many of us, was the best player of the tournament. That's how little stats mean.

Pirlo was by far the best player in the Euros. No idea how Iniesta won it tbh.

Re: Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo
Iniesta is the better footballer no contest there.
Ronaldo is a better athlete, finisher and more marketing potential.

They overhype ronaldo, thats true, but do you genuinely think they dont overhype messi as well? nah never, its not like they make money from his success, thats just cristiano because girls fancy him. Just saying, it works both ways (unless you have the perspective of a barca fan)
About this thread, iniesta is a better team player, and a better technician thats obvious, ronaldo is more decisive i think

Agree with you, but the decision was taken after the finals, in my opinion the best Spanish player in the final match was not even Iniesta, I thought Fabregas, Silva, Xavi and Ramos all had a better game than he did.

Re: Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo
I think you guys are underrating his performance a bit, sure every move he made wasnt successful but it was LARGELY due to spain playing with no striker and Iniesta not having any one to release the ball other than occasional runs from Alba. The way Andres dribbled throw almost every midfield was simply majestic this tournament and im starting to think he plays better for Spain than for Barcelona due to not having to deal with Messi wanting every move go throw him.
Re: Iniesta > Cristiano Ronaldo
Yeh both he and Ozil have that special type of dribbling.
