Valverde is actually a legit manager. What he did with Valencia last year was absolutely wonderful especially given their player propensity, as it was unfathomable within that stage.

The fact that CHE holds Valverde in high regard is all you need to know, given his notorious standard of manner, in regards to his players or manager.

With Athletic, Valverde has them only 3 points from 4th despite all the squad injuries, and has shown some excellent tactical prowess within the club.

Falcao is better in the box, maybe the best after Cristiano and Messi. But Costa in this form is ridiculous.

Not specifically about Costa (i Knew he would be better without Falcao - but I don't think any of us would have actually predicted he would literally fill his boots and then some as he's doing at the moment)

But Hala, who watches them consistently always resented the idea that Falcao carried anyone, and the idea that him leaving would be the end of Atletico.

And it was always with good reason. Falcao is a great player, anyone who denies it is foolish, but people really need to avoid underestimating a team and all its parts to push their own fantasies about one guy.

Costa has some way to go to show he's better than Falcao.

He certainly has shown he is capable though.

I just hope he sticks it out at Atletico rather go run off to some scrub outfit like Torres, Aguero, Falcao and Forlan did when they left Los Rojiblancos.
