France Under 21 Team is absolutely shit. M'Vila is the biggest joke since Ali Dia. Varane getting raped like there is no tomorrow

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
U23 coach was a joke. He failed to make 3 competitions with major talent and he was kept for a while somehow. No tactical awareness whatsoever.... either his method worked or bust. Always destroyed the group stage and then couldn't handle an opposing team tactically stopping things. What an idiot. Thank god he's gone.
As far as the A team, extremely good signs. You have U23 stars that have stepped up in Sakho, Mbiwa, Sissoko, Gonalons and Capoue. Add to that, Lloris is 24, Benz 24, Menez 24, Matuidi 25, Giroud 26, Cabaye 26, etc. The only guys approaching 30 or over it are Evra and Ribery and i don't feel that Ribery is slowing down at all. In any case, if he does, Benz goes left and Giroud central. I also expect Varane, Mangala, Cabella and others to make a push. Holding out hope for Coquelin, Lacazette and a few other kids to develop too. Countless young talent out there and i'm missing many on this list.
Also, Deschamps is a Serie A/Juve trained tactician and he knows how to prepare and manage a game.
The Spain game in Paris in March will be interesting. There is definitely an identity developing, which has lacked since 2007 frankly. It's pretty simple:
1- For the first 55-65 mins, take the physical impact to the opponent and wear them down, especially in the midfield.
2- At that point, bring in Valbuena and another attacker to go at the tired midfield and pressure the defense.
3- Pressure all the time and don't lose shape.
Did it against Spain and then Italy. Didn't see the italy game... but i don't think it was a huge telling one. Friendly is a friendly. Spain game showed a lot however.

France's CB future is secured for the next 10 years with players like Varane, Zouma, Sakho, M'biwa...

Mangala, 22, just became the starting CB for Porto as they sold Rolando... I LOVE him.
Pogba, Rabiot, Benzia, Aurier, Umtiti, etc. A lot of talent coming up.

Gonalons is better than Rabiot. Grenier is better than Enzo.

Not to mention Ben Arfa will be into his 30s by then lol.
Why you looking 5 years ahead anyway?
Most of these players probably won't reach the level you expect in 5 years.

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
Rabiot has a much higher ceiling than Gonalons because he's better technically. Right now... Gonalons easily. As far as my lineup for WC2014:
Lloris
Sagna-Varane-Sakho-Evra
Pogba-Cabaye-Matuidi
Valbuena-Benzema-Ribery

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
Sagna is feeling mistreated at Arsenal tbh. They're not offering him an extension lol. It's as if they want to wait and see how he does before offering him... he's really not happy about it given what he's given the club. Can't blame him.
I imagine it will do him a lot of good to feel free and happy at NT.
Not to mention Arsenal have no DM and meh CBs.

What sportsczy said. After suffering TWO leg breaks in 2 years. I don't think Sagna is feeling happy atm.
Might go to PSG this summer.

Re: France NT News, Formations & Results
France NT traveling to south america for a 2 week tour this summer. Two big games:
- v. Uruguay in Montevideo on June 5th
- V. Brazil in Gremio on June 9th
The idea is to get used to training conditions, climate and crowd there. The quick turnaround in the games is to simulate WC conditions.

They need to take players who will be part of WC14. Sensible thing would be to take about 30 players

Don't like
Sagna, Evra, Sakho, Sissoko and Valbuena have no business being in the team.
