I have matured over the years so I will take this back and apologize. Rodrygo should be benched, we are overcrowded by attackers as is.

Promising performance from Rodrygo.
Above all he was functional and tidy defensively and offensively. He doesn't have the pace or the left foot to be a mass goal scoring threat from the right or too much of a ravaging spirit as a right winger either but technically and physically he has enough in his game to try to make a performance like today's his "performance floor". Tidy, effective, and functional (relative to the elite level, mind you) is what you can ask from a player like him, although I think he will have to do this as a hard working right midfielder in a 4222 going forward, this 433 looks dubious to me.
Too bad we lost Brahim for at least 2 months but this is what is asked of Rodrygo, stick to the right side and bring some functionality there. Still can and must improve.

WTF is this dark sorcery Madrid are weaving?
I only watch them in the UCL these days, but I haven't seen a good game in like 4 years, and they win everything?
Kind of impressive NGL. Making Stuttgart look good at the same time you cruise to yet another title, that's proper multitasking.

It is true tbh, I have seen so many games where they look like they'll concede any minute but either Courtois/Lunin make miraculous saves or opponent strikers shit themselves and they somehow survive and then score 2-3 goals.

He has balls.
Mbappe and Vini free on the counter, waiting for the ball, takes a shot from miles away instead and scores. On his first UCL game, some kid that hasn't even started a game yet?

Im not even saying this as a Barca fan/Madrid unenjoyer here, but I will say I dont think I've ever enjoyed watching them play neutrally-speaking. It always puzzles me how they keep winning
They are always physically well-prepared and Courtois saves A LOT, but hot damn there's some insane voodoo shit going on behind the scenes

We looking good. PSV are a good team.
Beautiful goal, breaking Del Piero's age record of CL scoring by scoring Del Piero's goal. Love this kid.
Yildiz, Koop, Cambiaso, Locatelli are making this team tick in such a nice way. The addition of Koop is worth all that summer hassle in the end.
Imo, Nico having a good match changes our attack completely. We need a good wide player (even if he is not always wide) to destabilize defenses with all our technical players favoring the center normally. He will have a big role this season if he can consistently bring it like last night. Chiesa would kill it in this team, shame what happened.

Tibu was injured all of last season and we still won the double. Maybe that's how we like to do itMyesyats wrote:VivaStPauli wrote:WTF is this dark sorcery Madrid are weaving?

Feels great to be back in CL where we belong
We got decent fire power upfront, you would not think these guys only played together for a few weeks. And controlling the ball deep into PSV zone also helps us in defense.

Re: Champions League '24/25
Milan-LFC never is enjoyed by me given I support both so either goal won't be met with any excitement but I did prefer LFC to win for I am on the boat of Slotball. Fonseca is another story as I loved the early goal given by the greatest american player of all time in Pulisic but the late response to LFC's pressure was poor and the defence on the two incredibly easily conceded goals was just unforgivable. im just not seeing what body of work what Fonseca has done in top leagues for me to justify any faith in him why I never wanted him in the first place.

That being said I want Chiesa to start by now as apparently he's been dazzling in training so desperately want him to be a vital part of our squad but was only given a 4 min cameo past 90 mins.

I’m not watching the game, but I imagine they’ll park the bus for all it’s worth. I haven’t watched Inter since Icardi was there, so I might be completely wrong.
