Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
Dont remember the last time winning prem appear this easy. There's no one even remotely near Arsenal right now who can give them a challenge. Both Liverpool and City seem washed. And even if City pick up, they will likely get a points deduction
. We are at least one window away and Chelsea are way too behind to catch up now even with their fresh batch of galacticos. Its like stars aligning for Arteta. Its a pity because I feel this Arsenal side, if they had a proper challenger could have felt the pressure and may be even crumbled in the final stages, cos of their inexperienced squad. Anyway, congrats in advance resident Arse fans

City won’t be getting a points deduction any time soon. They say it will take up to four years to get this resolved!
In the meantime, expect same from City! I think the first sign that they will found guilty will be the departure of Guardiola!

Well, I said "might". I don't know how consistent Newcastle are going to be throughout the rest of the season. Luckily for them, they're about 10 years away from being hounded by FFP

I dont think it will take that long. I mean whats the point if it takes like 4 years if the eventual punishment is going to be a transfer ban (most likely one I predict)? They can simply go and buy every talented player and horde them or loan them to their multiple satellite clubs and easily ride it out. But yea point deduction and point deduction especially in this particular season is only a pipedream I know. But the fact they have been carefully collecting evidence for 4 years is a sign of hope that for once FA wont bend over.

Courts move very very slowly and looks like City is determined to fight this very vigorously, beginning with a well known and costly Lawyer. Apparently the penalty, if charges proven, is relegation or outright kicked out of EPL.
Bottom line points aren’t severe enough nor is transfer ban.
I’m hoping for a victory here no matter how long it takes, as it will send a very strong message to the other oil nations ownership.
Also great to see a league do what uefa can’t or won’t do.

This has already been in the system for years. I have no idea how long it will take, but I imagine it won't be the same as if they were starting from scratch.

Not really. This one is an EPL, British law and courts. Previous one was uefa failed attempt and essentially they failed because of inadequate ffp rules and ran out of time and therefore expiry. None of the failure items are applicable here.

Ivan Toney has been a thorn in the side for Arsenal, but Pinnock has been an absolute rock at the back for Brentford in this match.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
When is Jesus coming back? I really liked how City discarded their players to Arsenal like they were nothing then they became the key pieces to beat City, would like that to play out simply because I have an enormous dislike for that entire City organization since Pep came and spent a billion euros on defence only.
I had dislike before, but that was over the top. They were a bit likeable at some point but only due to the fact that they had players like David Silva and Aguero, Tevez and Adam Johnson, but now there's nothing likeable about that team.

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
not sure if son was serious when he snuck in Adam Johnson there
anyway, Jesus is probably back at best early April, title challenge could be down the drain by then. Let's hope City continue to be unstable as us.

Tbh Arsenal still lack that #9. I know N'Ketiah has been hot in goal before these last 2 games but Arsenal need a more consistent finisher upfront. Someone that can bag 20+ goals a season.

we could try Trossard up top because i think he comes closest to offer what Jesus does in that position, but i don't know if 'Teta has the guts

Re: 2022/2023 Premier League Discussion
I mean... this is what's to be expected from this young and inexperienced Arsenal team. They don't have an invincibles squad, DLD in the last 5 games is more like the artetaball I remember. It's really hard to predict how City will be affected by the whole mess they found themselves in, and whether they will get smashed with a point deduction, but I expect them to catch up
Anyway City and Arsenal are meeting in 3 days at the Ehmirates ..., lets go boys!
