I consider him a better RB than Dest honestly. Not quite as pacy, but has good technique and can actually defend.

Lol, yep, I also thought he was overrated as well, but I guess got influenced that so many ppl rated him n he wasnt bad when he played for us on the rare games, just never thought the step down would be so fast so much. But some players just seem to dip in level so fast at a relatively young age for some reason...

Pjanic was never overrated. If anything he was underrated at OL/Roma then his first years at Juve was rated appropriately in a role that should not be his.

Let's remember the Wingdzukic era with Pjanic-Khedira double pivot, it worked for a while but Allegri stuck with it too long. Had he played AM instead his true quality would show more. Barca marked the end of his competitive career nobody really rated him at this point.

Calling Pjanic overrated has no basis. His raw talent was ridiculously high.

As repeated he was a pure #10 who slowly in Juventus and successfully by Allegri was converted more into an 8.

Great as their relationship was but mostly because Panic generally is very classy and does also, what the coach tells him to do.

Otherwise being in a position for someone as unathletic as him, sacrificed his deliberate and measured style of play.

By a certain point he stopped being the player he was at Lyon, Roma, and initially Juventus.

its one of the saddest tragic ends to a player who's talent I kid you not was enough to be an all time midfield great. His adept two feet, passing, vision and what not.

Huge tragedy and now he is in the utterly irrelevant Arab league.

Worst thing to ever happen to Pjanic was to be burdened with defensive responsibility. That started at Roma unfortunately and it precipitated his fall from then on. Tragic.

In the same interview he talks about wanting a new contract. Which club will be offering its players new contracts after offering to play for their rivals.

I couldn't care less if he joins Barca honestly and evidently the club doesn't give a shit either if he doesn't have an anti-Barca clause in his contract.

I think he belives he is better than he actually is. He talks about "alot" of teams being after him but here he is still on our bench in a WC year so obviously not true.

Arsenal are probably his true level so can see him there next season.
