The people at this club looked at Chambers, Holding, Mari, Cedric, and Xhaka and said yup, new contracts all round! Arteta sent away a 30m centre back to France who by all accounts seem pretty talented so he could play Kolasinac LCB away to the Champions. A player, need I remind you, was sent away for being shit and is for sale. Willian signed on 200k p/w then paid to fuck off a year later.

There are promising players in that squad, but it feels like anyone above the age of 24 bar like four players (Partey, Pepe, Auba and Laca) are various shades of mediocre. Seriously, the likes of Bellerin, Chambers, Holding, Mari, Kolasinac, Cedric, Xhaka, Willian and Elneny are all part of the squad despite being average at best for several years. Several of these players got new contracts instead ffs. It's madness.

Arteta was promoted and given 150m to spend for back to back 8th place finishes and shit football. Thanks for the FA Cup but jesus christ, a single trophy win should not, and never should be, grounds to give a manager so much responsibility.

This is a club with an absentee owner delegating the big roles to guys with no experience. Having chewed through about a dozen new staff since Wenger left they've settled on Edu and Arteta to lead the club. We're doomed lol.
