Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
Liverpool fans why are u guys letting players like Shaqiri go for 9M? think I read you're trusting youth players for squad depth? someone like Shaq for 9M makes no sense to let go tbh, thats nothing to a PL team

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
Usually Edward's doesn't do business like that. But keeping Shaqiri was an opportunity cost for the club in terms of different factors. A cap on only specific number of players getting registered in PL, makes one space free for Harvey Elliott or Jones, we already have an attack of front 4 in rotation + legend Origi.
9m does not sound a lot but mind you our net soend this summer is in plus I don't know if there are any big plans in background. Otherwise this is pathetic if you look at how other clubs are spending around us.

It makes sense for Shaqiri himself to move on at this stage of his career. He was a decent bench player for us, but not irreplaceable. It just feels right that he goes somewhere with more game time.

Yup Elliot and Curtis are currently the replacements for Shaq and Gini. No idea if Klopp will sign but seeing 10m savings makes me wanna think we might get another one but idm would love to try again with this full squad.
Every penny counts for #Mbappe2022

Yes they seem to be, but then again I would trust Klopp with my life atm so im good with no more signings other than the 4th choice CB for 30M lol.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
Shaqiri has been always good for us whenever he played. Unfortunately he wasn't fit enough to match Klopps standards and didn't feature much in last 2 seasons. Also, Klopp has weakness in terms of rotating the squad which everyone knows about.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
Shaqiri is a good player but not a good fit for Liverpool. Klopp wants his players to press aggressively, something Shaqiri wasn't great at. Truly grateful for some awesome moments he gave us. YNWA.

I support Man C and Pep, but pls stop playing Torres, I want De Bruyne and Sterling... maybe Pep just thinks Arsenal is easy and saving them Just my hope... otherwise I already lost Messi, pls dont ruin MAn C too.

It was one of those things that should’ve been tried way earlier like playing Delph at LB. When City were linked to Messi I was expecting Jesus to become their starting RW as a result, but it seems like he’ll be moving there full time even without a new striker.
Lots of competition with Mahrez and Sterling. It’ll be interesting to see who wins out. I feel Pep will prefer Jesus because of his workrate.

Conte rejected Arsenal already. He thinks the squad needs a complete overhaul (he isn't wrong)

I'm still finding real joy in their struggles as they find new ways of shitting the bed.
