That's an unfair estimate. He was doing well until the momentum completely shifted after the stupid subs and removing Veratti as a passing option.

Without Insigne, Italy has zero intellegence in their offensive play. Without Veratti, Jorginho is isolated n midfield. Locatelli and Pessina do not make a balanced midfield.

Belotti has been useless all tournament, and Chiesa now has no one to give good balls to, and no one to give him any good balls. Too many subs at the same time just ruined the flow of the game.

Emerson, despite some brain-dead decisions, was actually having a great match.

I doubt he will be a starter. Needs to be more aggressive and decisive at taking forwards on, he is a free transfer so no pressure to play him due to big fees etc

RG is right, Jorginho absolutely bamboozled tonight. Verratti didn't help much either. At least Barella asserted himself and was more active when he was on, only his passing let him down. But that's all on the Spanish press and intensity

Yeah it's clear Spain have more technique than Spain and it shows atm. The ball has been Spain's almost the whole game and Italy (this Italy) aren't too used to countering. The disorganization shows anyway whenever they had chances to counter.
