Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
Having said that, his record in big games is pretty poor though.
This underdog shithousing your way towards boring draws/flukey 1-0 wins against big teams is probably not going to work in the long term.
United need to compete like a title winning side if they want to be anywhere near winning the league.

This game reminds me of City in the CL so much. Individual mistakes then they chase the game then get burned on the counter.

This is exactly the kind of game that makes u think its fixed. Man C who have been amazing for so long, suddenly all cant shoot, way off target, and not running around and creating chances as much as in every game we have seen. I didnt watch the first half, but the second mostly so far off their level. Or maybe they just cbf and saving themselves for the CL?

Kane providing Bale with the tap-ins required to disguise the latter’s poor offensive movement and evidently declining pace? Hopefully, this means Tottenham will buy Bale, or at least extend his loan agreement

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
A retarded monkey could see that playing Son-Kane-Bale up front was gonna be a lot better than having fuckin Bergwijn or Lucas play as wing-defenders. I'm glad Mou has finally recognized this very simple fact.
His job is being saved right now by 1) Kane and 2) recognizing something he should have recognized 4 months ago.
Been calling this for a while, myself.

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
I know the league is won and City had to lose eventually but Foden and Bernando > Mahrez and Jesus.
Let KBD play higher up, Bernando loses less balls and is better defensively. Sterling hasnt dribbled WAB once in his career, may aswell let him try the other side and have Foden do what he does on the left.

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
Dani are you a fan of Mahrez?
Since you've been gone, I've led an anti-Mahrez agenda since 2019. It's more popularly known as "it was mahrez fault doe". I have to give credit to Mole because he started it in 2016, but I've taken it to another level. This was the assessment I came to with Mahrez:
He's a player who can win you a game with a moment of magic, but then it's followed by 4-5 moments of him messing up the final action. His decision-making is very spotty, and overall he's an incredibly inefficient player.
Yes, his striking technique is great, he doesn't lose the ball much, and he's one of the best in the world at controlling balls in the air, but I think his presence makes City play worse. He's not that good 1v1, he's predictable, he's only trusted to play RW, he isn't particularly fast, his workrate doesn't stand out, and he's incredibly inconsistent. I don't think he's a bad player, he's good, and he'd probably do better playing for a less rigid team, but I do maintain he was a waste of 60M.
Hell, this is what I said about his form on July 5, 2020:
Then this is what happened:
Now I don't feel the need to preach an anti-Mahrez agenda as much after that because his form roughly still follows a similar pattern to the one I stated. Now, I have to say he has done well for City in recent games, and he is a good rotational option against smaller teams, but I still think he has no business starting big games because there are better options and he can't be relied on. What's your take? Do you see what I see, or do you disagree?

He's a silky winger who is inconsistent. For every game he can win you on his own, he'll mess up the final action in the next 3. He has a good performance against Arsenal, then drops a 2/10 against Chelsea, gets benched against Liverpool, and supposedly drops another 2/10 against Soton. I'll put money on him getting a G+A next week. Then the same kind of form will repeat itself as has been the case since he's arrived.

His name is Ole. He's Norwegian. And in his spare time, he eats bald frauds for breakfast.
1 – Among the 67 managers Pep Guardiola has faced more than three times across all competitions as a top-flight boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjær is the only one to have beaten the Spaniard (4) more often that he has lost to Guardiola (3). Devil. pic.twitter.com/RKl7lhGLJq

I think the bold is pretty accurate. He can have some exceptional moments and if he happens to have 3 or 4 in the same game he can seem like an elite player. But those moments are not consistent.
The Spurs game was a good example. Reguillon absolutely locked him down and he had zero good moments.
That being said, he has a relatively limited role at City this season. He only plays the one position for the most part and even though he played against Utd, you would imagine others would jump ahead of him in the best 11. Especially Sterling and Foden.
But on the plus side, that role he plays at City is one you would really struggle to find a better player who would accept it.
Most players who would play as infrequently as him wouldnt possess his talent, or they would very young (Foden last season) and that is what makes City squad so stacked.

I may be wrong, but I got the impression that most people on here who cared, didn’t seem to rate Tuchel very highly, a month or so ago. That said, still early days in his Chelsea tenure. I’m sure he’ll receive both redundant praise and uncalled for criticism multiple times before the end of the season.

As I expected and said, Tuchell will look good at the beginning. I am just waiting to see what happens when teams start adapting to their style. And also whether he can lasts against this City squad in the title race, in the coming seasons.
