I don't get why you think the football Spurs are playing are so dreadful. Your history as a Barca fan must have filled your head with the possession wank and Mourinho hate.
exactly!
easily could've gone the other way yesterday. I don't subscribe to the whole Mourinho "anti-football" thing. Especially when he has been successful as he has been. He is results oriented, his teams work hard always, and he has his own unique set of tactics, schemes and way of seeing the game/playing the game. I think it is admirable. And i actually enjoy watching Spurs games more than watching Arsenal currently

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
I'm a football fan first. Literally every big game spurs are in is fuckin shit to watch, and the other games aren't much better. Kane and Son are a delight, obviously. Hojbjerg and Reguilon as well.
It's obvious some of my enjoyment is that I don't like Mourinho or his teams, and that contributes. But honestly, the team isn't fun to watch. Bielsa and Leeds is a far better use of time

Lmao watHapless_Hans wrote:Klopp's got Mourinho in his pockets and always had, I don't think a manager ever got owned so bad the way Mourinho gets owned by Klopp.
Wonder how their record is now, did Mourinho ever win against Klopp? Maybe once with Utd, probably lost 7-8 times against Klopp by now.
Klopp got him sacked at Real, he got him sacked at Chelsea, and he got him sacked at Man United lmao
Mourinho must hate him so much
Klopp won because of a lucky deflection, Spurs had 2 golden chances they absolutely wasted. If your takeaway from this game is that Klopp owned Mou then your reading of the game is a bit wacky

I agree Leeds play some beautiful football Cbarca, however, from watching spurs personally at times, they are an exciting side on the counter.
Personally possession, while something I prefer from teams, if done wrong looks very stale (Real Madrid until recent, Man City this season)

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
Possession football is only fun to watch if there’s sound positional play and if you have exciting forwards who can change the tempo with their athleticism. Fielding teams with 11 passers...yuck.
It’s the exact reason why I hate possession coaches like De Boer. It’s just U shape passing with shit positional play. Flat, slow, and boring.
Entertainment wise, there’s a reason the funnest possession teams usually involved having key players not being traditional possession players. Muller and KDB add something totally different as a RCM than Xavi did. That probably hurt them in the CL because they lost the ball more in the middle of the pitch, but it made them more risk taking.
That’s why Bayern 2016 was my favourite team to watch in the last decade. You had Boateng and Alonso switching the play, Douglas Costa and Robben going on 1v1s, then Vidal/Mueller/Lewandowski all attacked the box. It was a possession and positional system built on physical players.
Ultimately, it comes down to the profile of the players really. Play fast 1v1 wingers, a target man, and a counterattacking player as a CM, and the dynamic looks completely different.

Liverpool back to their best efficient football of the start of the season, 3 shots on target and 3 goals
Firmino, best unique number 9 of EPL, is suddenly looking like himself again from last few games . 1 goal and 1 assist against mighty C.Palace

Arsenal outcast Iwobi played the assist for the own goal !
Arsenal under Arteta looked so much in better in the beginning.
Edit:Arsenal get a penalty

I doubt this season will be comfortable for any particular team. It will go till the end.
With that said, I hope referees will do better when teams like Everton try injuring minimum two Liverpool players (e.g. VanDjik and Thiago) per game. Otherwise Liverpool will be up there in the mix till the end.

Arsenal fans were getting hyped up over that win, praising Farteta, I remember urging them to be calm because it was the worst performance I have seen from United under Ole
