I really do think that is a big factor that applies to many players, and I think it's been quite noticeable in the euros this year. I've seen people on the internet suggest that fatigue/burn out is just an excuse and that football players should be able to handle whatever's thrown at them because it's their job to play football or because they make a lot of money.
Some players definitely over-exert themselves more than others over the course of a long, league season. The younger ones typically want to play as much as possible, regardless of how tired they may be. And that's especially true when it comes to international tournaments. Fatigue will obviously affect their performance level.

Scored 2 very important goals and did massive defensive work every game.
I think flopped isn't even in the ballpark, he did pretty well for anyone with eyes.

Ok what the fk ever u fking Ped-ram XD
Ahh I see the usual point Hala n that makes, so Foden is a flop but not Bellingham cos the latter might be fatigued n let down by his teammates... but arent they on the same team? Ffs XD The biases is just too much XD

Re: Jude Bellingham Watch
Naive one, you continue to show you can’t read or comprehend. Simple fact is that Bellingham didn’t flop in this tournament. Almost everyone including British media are saying Southgate problems begin with trying to force Foden into lineup. Scoring goals or not or making dribbles is not an indicator of flopping.

Re: Jude Bellingham Watch
Foden flopped, Jude didn't. Just take the L on this one and admit you hitched your wagon to the wrong horse. It's a bit silly to act as if these two were equally subpar in this tournament.
Jude's decisive goal gave England their only win in the group stage and without it, they probably wouldn't have even made it to the second round. His last-minute equalizer against Slovakia saved them from certain elimination. And even in an average final performance, he still chimed in with an assist and was involved in most of England's attacks.
Contrast this with Foden, who did fuck all in 7 games, even after being moved to his favorite position at the expense of Jude.

Still don't know why BL decided to support Foden. Is it because of Pep?

Re: Jude Bellingham Watch
Not supporting Foden, just pointing out the blatant bias of anti Barca fans ie. Real fans always hyping Real players despite them failing n highlighting the same for non Real players

I have my own opinion. Curious to see what you guys think.
My take:
I think he has the potential to be the best in the world. I just think that the way he perceives "the best" isn't what actually will make him the best.
He takes too many touches on the ball, needless step overs, doesn't release quick enough, habit of getting into other teammates spaces, and doesn't make sacrificial runs. Hero ball mindset.
It's like someone watched Zidane or Riquelme comps and thinks that's how they played. I think England giving him #10 and the English media hyping him to be the next big thing has contributed to this egotistical style of play. He plays with the arrogance of prime CR7. I'll never forget the way he played against Serbia. His interpretation of the #10 role had me in tears.
However, there were times he played deeper for England in a double pivot when they were chasing the lead. He surprisingly played simple. I saw a vision there of what he should be.
Jude shouldn't be a #10, but a #8. Let him play between the lines in possession and crash the box. He's a monster in duels so let him help defend instead of pressing from the front. I also think his press resistance is better deeper in the pitch rather than higher up the pitch.
I honestly think it would do him a world of good if he had a Pep/Arteta as a coach. They would simplify his game, and maximize his strengths and prevent him from those annoying habits he has. Carlo isn't going to do that, so you'll probably have to wait for Alonso to join to see that vision of Bellingham.

Re: Jude Bellingham Watch
I agree with you, but I do believe Carlo is going to a 4-3-3 this season and therefore he should be playing as you suggest. And once Guler takes over a starting spot it will be for sure. But Alonso arriving may be the same timeframe.
