Not liking manchego is a crime against humanity.

Benzema is basically immobile and can’t play too many games in a row. He’s pretty strong physically though, and that’s the last thing to go for athletes (physical strength). Would be interesting to see him in Serie A.

Biggest issue is that Benzema is making 100 million euros per season lol. More likely, he will move to another club in Saudi. His problem is with Marcelo Gallardo, the manager... not the country or league.

Both ways. His stats are decent frankly: 12 goals and 5 assists in 20 games. He's had back problems since late November and missed a game on Dec 7 because of it. He keeps playing but has gotten no cover from the manager (or management). That's what is upsetting him.

It will settle down. He'll just move to another club. There are a few in Saudi league willing to take on his wages.

Henry: 123 apps, 52 goals 30 assists.

Benzema: 97 apps, 37 goals 20 assists.

Benzema had more longevity than Henry but he also had to play second fiddle for most of his Madrid career, during which to be fair he had too many years that seem almost thrown away to the dump considering what we saw with his character and consistency 18-19 onwards. Missing out on the 2022 World Cup will be the ultimate what if of his career, but a Balon d'or, 5 European Cups, and the numbers he managed for none other than RM def place him as one of the all timers.

Also, plenty of those goals and assists from Henry come from MLS.

I get Henry is the darling of Arsenal fans but Benzema in all facets has surpassed him in career legacy a while ago and its not even close.

I think that facts say otherwise, also because there are more goals scored in Premier League on average across all teams.

There many such claims that are purported as if they were set in stone facts, which is quite disingenious.

The league v league use of comparison is just plain lazy as the disparity between the top 3-4 leagues is just not high enough to grade the ability of a player especially given EPL is not necessarily known for their defenses but their intensity and variety of systems. This includes how one league was at a certain time in comparison to the rest; for at Henry's prime EPL simply was nowhere near the top league.

Conclusion is in pure skill Henry had it above Benz given he would chaos utter chaos in the box and danced through players but Benzema was a complete package who simply has just accomplished more over the course of his career. Henry suffered from being a lost winger earlier on then sacrificed being on the left in his Barça time so before concluding who is better we need to establish who's better at what exactly:

Henry has the bigger legacy, fanbase and reputation in football culture. Widely considered the best player of all time to ever play in the best and most marketable league in the world.

Benzema doesn't have marketability and a large fanbase because he's a sleazy raypist, you shouldn't judge players in terms of marketability anyway.
