Check out the banded thread. He has been permanently banned! Besides he would be too preoccupied with Boris's dilemma

I'm aware he's banned, just poking some fun at his expense.

The Demon of Carthage wrote:People you really need to stop blindly defending your countries and acknowledging a fuck-up when there's one. There's really no shame in that.
Most countries have royally fucked up. Germany is not one of them. Why? Because testing everyone is the most efficient way to stop the virus from spreading. Why?
When you test your population massively, you know for certain who's sick and who isn't. And when you detect the virus in its early stages, you can treat it. How?
Like I mentioned earlier: chloroquine + azithromycin.
This treatment is useless when the virus is at an advanced stage.
If Germany is doing well, it's because they're testing and giving all the COVID-Positive patients chloroquine + an antibiotic while the symptoms are still mild.
Other countries aren't doing that because:
A) They were incompetent enough not to set aside enough resources to deal with an epidemic (they would rather spend that on weapons and other crap).
B) They know the aforementioned treatment put forth by many renowned virologists works, but they don't want to use it because it's cheap and it represents a conflict of interest with many pharmaceutical labs. It's better for them to wait until a much more expensive treatment ( vaccine ) comes along to rack up profits in billions. And yes, that's how messed up the world we live in is.
People this is not a competition. This is not a dick measuring context. We are all in this together, and countries like Germany and S Korea and all those who have so far succeeded in dealing with fucking virus are a ray of hope for the rest of us in this fight.
Also, if you really, truly, love your country, then you should be the first one to point it any incompetent on their parts. Trying to act like it's all sunshine and rainbows while people are dying like flies is just wrong.
So yes, if you have incompetent officials in your country, FUCK THEM!
Mate, you should see whats going on in Poland. Right-wing ruling party is making decisions that are unlawful unless there's a "stage of emergency" called because if they called it they would be unable to conduct presidential elections which are to happen in May. So basically they break the constitution in order to have the elections next month as opposed to next year because they know Corona means recession, a crisis and a loss of trust towards them. In essence, staying in power is their #1 concern while fueling propaganda that lockdown is beating the virus and not only slowing it down.
Oh, and also another thing. They're making unlawful decisions (that can only be done in a state of emergency) without calling a state of emergency because if they did call it, they'd have to pay out compensation to every firm which currently they are failing to do for the most part and are weaseling their way out of it by using beaurocratic nonsense.

Also, the way they want to do the elections is by mailing ballot papers to everyone and every individual is to fill out the card and mail it back. (I guess this way it will be easier for them to see who voted against and silence them....)
Donald Tusk, former PL prime minister and EU council president, wrote on Twitter that the government should be mailing N95 masks to citizens rather than ballots. Which is just so true. I wish he was in the running for president.
I hope this virus and crisis makes those right wing cunts choke to death because they are turning our country into a totalitarian regime, slowly but surely.

I am concerned they may suspend the constitution for unlimited rule by decree after the sham elections next month.
In fact, I think that's a real possibility.

The opposition has laid out everything this morning on national TV in the parliamentary sitting that was broadcasted but it falls on deaf ears. And it feels like we are powerless. Propaganda is too strong a device but this virus may turn the tide.

What happened to Unique?
Do people really need to be banned at this stage? We've been together here for so long, surely the rules don't have to be as strict for people who have been here from the start.

Sweden has stopped using chloroquine to treat Covid patients. Apparently they were observing worse-than-expected side effects like sudden cardiac arrests.

Guys, this is an extremely short, but helpful video on how to make your own mask at home with just an old t-shirt.
It's just a shame that I don't have any rubber bands, otherwise I would make it.
Do they sell them in pharmacies?

News just in:
The ruling party wants to hold presidential elections in May by providing the ballot papers by mail which requires the voter to mail the ballot back.
If you fail to send the ballot back, you can face up to 3 years in prison.
Hurray democratic elections! Although you get imprisoned if you refuse to participate.

Not sure what intensive care is, if it's a ventilator those only have a 20% survival rate, so I wish him the best. Not looking good.

BBC's live updates saying he's been moved in ICU as a precaution in case he needs a ventilator, so if that's (still) correct, his condition isn't so bad yet that he needs intubation. Like BC said, if he gets so bad he needs a ventilator, the survival rate isn't great then.

Not sure why the panic
From what I hear, hydroxychloroquine works wonders against Covid, I'm sure Boris can trust his mate on that

Hopefully that's true, although he was also moved to the hospital yesterday as a "precaution" and was feeling "great" last night.
Now both of those things could be possible and he's taken a sudden turn to the worse...but overall I'm taking a lot of what I hear with a grain of salt.

He's head of state.
Of course they are being cautious with the info they give out and drip it.
last night Russian News reported he's gone to ICU/Ventilator when news of him going to hospital for "routine tests" broke through...Downing Street and Sky called it "Disinformation" just today morning.
God knows in what state he's in now.
Even if the worst case scenario happens, no official word will come out until a proper response plan is organized.
Hope he pulls. through, but looks grim.

Would be genuinely interested to know what Boris, right now, lying in his hospital bad, perceives as the more tantalizing sensation -
the fever, chest pain and difficulty breathing, or the realization that for the very first time in his life he's actually suffering consequences for doing and saying dumb and irresponsible stuff
