A few key pieces missing:
— 305 you're my Herro (@HEATLIF3R) February 7, 2020
- Ersan Ilyasova
- Marco Belinelli
- JJ Redick
- Robert Covington
- TJ McConnell
- Dario Saric
Encapsulates quite perfectly how terrible of a job Philly's front office has done.

IMO should have just built around Embiid. Keep the shooters, and in fact get even more shooters by trading Simmons.
That simple. Bucks haven't really done anything differently than that, except that Giannis is of course a better player than Joel.

The point of the tweet isn't about Simmons and Embiid, both are fine, point is what they've done to build around them has made them both worse.
Those who say build around one or trade one are completely missing the point, Philly have massively botched this.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Yeah that's obviously the point. That's not a very interesting discussion though. Is there a single person who disagrees that the 76ers FO messed up by not investing enough in their role players/shooters? No. Now you ask that question 6 months ago and you might get different answers (there was certainly a preseason circlejerk over the 6ers roster without considering how dire their shooting/spacing was), but now it's not up for discussion. Great.
The more interesting discussion is what should the 6ers FO should have done instead. That's what I'm arguing. And it's not missing the point anyway. Not trading one of them is one of the biggest things they've done to botch it.
They should have focused their team, and reaped the benefits of trading a premier player. While the league moves towards 2 or 3 star players on each team, the Bucks right now are proving that complementary star players, even if their not bonafide superstars, are worth more than the sum of their parts if they play within a system that's built for the team. We let Brogdon go and got considerably better. We replaced Brogdon with Wesley Matthews, kept Hill, and also added Robin Lopez and Korver.
And if your premise is "Simmons/Embiid is fine, look at the 2017/2018 numbers", I'm not really even sure that's that defensible of a point. They went out against a pretty weak Boston team 4-1 in the playoffs. The pairing is an issue even with a host of good role players around them.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
You completely missed the point then, because they weren't always a terrible fit together as the tweet explained.
They became one after the terrible decisions by management made them fitting together close to impossible.
This isn't a Simmons/Embiid problem it's a management squad building problem, one which would probably still be a problem if they traded one of them away.

Have Philly, their front office, botched this or is it the coach? They've got Horford, Harris and Richardson with Embiid and Simmons. No one can claim that's not some seriously good players right there. I think Chicago's Boylen is an absolutely shocking coach, but right after him I think it's Brown who is doing a bare minimum job at Philly. How can you have all that talent and be a low seed in the East while your starting players are giving cryptic quotes to the press about chemistry? I mean, holy shit that is bad management from the coach.

Lonzo uses the hesi before extending the lead late in the @PelicansNBA's road win! pic.twitter.com/3ZzxV2Sw5y

This might be my favourite Lonzo play as a Pelican tbh.
Keep in mind it was 113-110 with little over a minute left, if he doesn't make this it could easily have turned out very differently.
But instead he cooks Turner with the hesi and we go up 5.
Love it.

1. The squad around them isn't as good because of the two of them (they're both max players).
2. The squad around them could be better if they traded one of them. Opportunity cost due to money.
3. If they were a good fit together and something worth persisting with, they wouldn't have lost 4-1 to a decent but not great Boston team.
You can't separate the decision not to trade one of them from bad management. Failing to do so was bad management.
But yes, like I said, everyone knows that they've made bad decisions even though they kept them both. That's obvious.

Simple
Besides it isn't just this, almost everything positive that is mentioned you are looking to criticise it for some reason.
Not sure what you're getting from it but whatever.

^^ maybe because that's what you and Freeza love doing yourselves and i just return a bit of your own flavour
but actually, from that angle the play looks better and the video actually shows the full play. It shows how he lulled Turner into the move, so yea actually not that bad.

A lot of balls to take on a center like Turner there too. He had 5 blocks that game and is always a threat to get a block in that scenario

The other video showed it too lol.
Me negative? Lol.
I’m always criticised for being too kind. I even praised Wiggins as the only one and he proved me right last night.

On Wiggins my criticism is mainly a fit criticism, when Steph and Klay gets back he has to prove he's good at things he's never actually shown.
Last night isn't relevant to that.
