I was at a cafe in Dublin once during a school trip, when I overheard the girl at the next table talking about how she didn’t fit in with her white classmates because they thought her obsession with asian culture was odd, and she felt discluded from the asian group of classmates she apparently had desperately tried to get acquainted with, because they wouldn’t accept her as anything but white. I never would’ve guessed I suppose it’s possible that they all belong to the minority, though.
