Racism in Spain

Marcelo called a monkey by Barca fans throughout the entire game tonight. A few days ago a similar thing happened to Dani Alves.

I know Racism happens everywhere but it occurs far too frequently in Spain and UEFA/FIFA/LFP hardly ever do anything about it.

there's a lot of messed up things about spain unfortunately. but same can be said about nearly ever country

Well the notion is that latin countries are racist in general, most people who believe italy is racist also believe that spain is as well and vice versa (as opposed to england/germany).

You are really not helping italy out by pointing fingers at spain.

Well to be honest most teams have black players not because they want diversity or multiculturalism. Its mostly because those black players add athleticism to the team.

Juventus had a star in davids but they were also racially abusing balo.

Villa didn't call Ozil a terrorist lol. He just punched him, they were in the fracar, both wanted a fight and both got sent off. Probably called him other things but this didn't happen sorry.

Add all this to the fact that 'terrorist' is a terrible call on Ozil... Much easier to just remark on how slimy/ ugly/froglike he is.

David Villa is the first player to have anti-racism clause in his contract.

The clause says: ‘The player will not express or carry out, in any form, discriminatory ideas or acts, either during football games or in any club duties. The club will strongly condemn any discriminatory or racist act according to the agreement.’
