Bale looks good. In fact, everyone looked pretty good other than Carvajal.

Good half but watching Benzema be static in the box and Carvajal being a mediocre FB is hurting my heart atm.

It's nice that we actually have firepower on the bench in Militao, Vini and Jovic.  Last year, none of our bench players were old enough to get a driver's license or deserved one tbh... Need a midfielder badly but that's not happening sigh.

Isco very frustrating too fyi.  But I'm used to it i guess.

It's interesting that we look extremely organized in official matches... and our players looked like they never knew each other in preseason.

I've seen lethargic preseasons of course. But this one was the most epic ever. Might as well not play those games lol.

Re bench, for me the one difference this year is all of the bench except maybe Valverde, Odriozola and Nacho are viable substitutes. The issue for me is no CMs or DMs in bench, plus the fact that Zidane seems reluctant to use bench!

We desperately need them to pick up a CM next week!

What’s the thought here re Neymar? It was looking like it might happen, but given the use of Bale and James plus Zidane’s comments yesterday, makes me wonder. Also Neymar demanding a 5 year contract at 35M sounds like a non starter for me. It will serve him right if he is held on at PSG. And for me that will certainly help us get Mbappe next summer.

Lol Sports, they have played Celta and Vallalodid!

Celta away is not that easy. They had a winning record last season. 10th best home team in La Liga.... not to mention we were awful away from Bernabeu last season.
