I'm praying he destroys Serie A, loves life at Inter and will join them for a big paycut next summer permanently.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours and News 2019
He was barely a factor in Udinese where he was at his most exciting, and carried by Di Natale in more ways than one, yet somehow rated beyond his worth.
Sincerely doubt his washed up ass will perform now.
Speaking of washed up, if he does not perform this season its back to washing cars in the Antofagasta.

Late summer circus incoming ? I read many sources
Neymar to Barca
Dybala to PSG
Dembelé + Rakitic to Juve
If that happens... fair enough

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours and News 2019
Ribery is finished if one expects him to zip past defenders with the dexterity he possessed in his younger days otherwise he remains a potent threat as displayed by last year as well.
Ideally Montella would be wiser to use him centrally if not craft that role where his notable vision and passing can make up for his lost speed and agility. It happens often in wingers who evolve into that role, Beckham being my favourite example and aged magnificently in that way.
Exciting move nonetheless.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours and News 2019
Rather simple thoughts on that.
The player is actually quite effective, especially coming off the bench and provides a considerably exciting spectacle to watch and Atletico simply look better with him. Now I cannot say if that is a result of their general lack of flair or how well Cholo used him on the right in a renewed role but given Giampaolo's penchant to use such players I would trust his vision for Correa to be sage enough to use him to his strengths without expecting him to be a goal-scorer, playermaker or a fantasista.
But for the price he is going for? Absolutely not. I get the market is inflated and we must adapt but its money we do not have for a player who stinks of could-be flop and I'd guess your thoughts are similar here.
Only exciting thing going in this season is hoping our new manager will not crumble to negative counter-attacking style and so far positive signs in Pre-season with a very reflective Giampaolo.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours and News 2019
Atletico asking price for Angel Correa is crazy.... 55 million plus bonuses for their bench player.
Good player, with good pace, work rate, dribbling, but his decision making and finishing on final third sucks so bad .... i agree with arq on how giampaolo can utilize him but that is a big fee to pay
I am totally with maldini / boban only wanting to pay upto 35 million plus bonuses that is a righteous bid if they dont like it seriously milan shouldnt be clinging on Correa and waste time
and correa purchase depends much on andre silva sales too
jesus all the players we purchased under previous owners flopped big time! and we spent like 200 million ....

Probably still a top 10 player in Serie A
also definitively better than Alexis Sanchez
or Perisic for that matter

Trapattoni
Luca Toni
Ribery
Mario Gomez
and of course
Effenberg
The distant string of events thats caused Fiorentina to pick off former Bayern stars and what may be a future connection I find, somehow so cool.
I genuinely hope to see Franck succeed in Florence. Stellar career, marvellous player and still has some left to give in the tank and the perfect way to begin what is a new era in La Viola.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours and News 2019
He was indeed Vibe as then Fiorentina bullied Bayern into giving up their start.
What a time to be alive huh?
Despite being with Batistuta himself in his first season, they were relegated and he stayed with them in Serie B to get them back up and departed only next season, after two very good seasons with La Viola.
He's the one who recommended Gomez to go to Fiorentina and I would predict a hand with Ribery too along with the confirmed Luca Toni who convinced the Frenchman to arrive this season.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours and News 2019
I should
we are stuck with him forever
nobody will take him or pay even half of his wages ffs
I don't think we should let him go unless someone pays 100% of his wages tbh
rather keep him in case of injury

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours and News 2019
Classic Mourinho signing.
Sign an old player to get results in the short-term (which didn't even happen in this case), then leave the team with a washed-up overpaid bum for the long-term.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours and News 2019
To be fair, no one could foresee Sanchez regressing as badly as he did, the guy scored 24 Premiership goals in '16-'17, his decline has been probably the most rapid I've seen, especially from a player who's still only 30.

Anyone who watched his last year at Arsenal could see there was something seriously wrong going on there in his head.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours and News 2019
Is age manipulation a thing in South America? the only thing that comes close to his decline is the rapid physical decline that happens to African players with a suspected fake age (Julius Aghahowa being the perfect example ).
