Well, we both know Zidane doesn't really like Eriksen, so that's probably why the club didn't make a move. It's a shame, really.

Just doesn’t make sense that Zidane is so stubborn on one player. Does he really think Modric, Casemiro, Kroos is good enough yet alone can go season long without backups? We have one one real backup, an unproven kid and 2 AMs. Even if he and Nick are right that neither Eriksen nor De Beek aren’t good enough to replace any of the three, they sure are better than current backups!

At this very point Eriksen is comfortably better than Modric & Kroos and this is done playing often in a role he is uncomfortable with.

I get accused of overrated Eriksen but this opinion here is not far off the mark, on the basis of the last two seasons.

Eriksen is definitely better than this current version of Modric. No need to live in the past as Modric is no longer the legendary midfielder he once was. Also, while I'll never forgive Zidane for not bringing Eriksen, seeing Freeza suffer totally makes up for it.

i think Modric having a down year last season is working against him, however, i think he is still at that level where if i have a elite game to play, i would pick him over Eriksen. I mean Eriksen is probably the best he has ever been now but i dont see him as way superior to Modric, no way. What he has going for him is youth, and that's it.

He's absolutely right. Eriksen now is way better than Modric who has regressed dramatically.

No idea why the club is sticking to a clearly declining midfielder instead of doing the sensible thing and replacing them immediately. But at this point, I have seen enough nonsense not to be surprised anymore.

In no particular order:
Robes, Mole as a Pelican fan, Freeza (both Madrid and Lakers), you, futbol, all Arsenal fans, Jjuve fans in the CL, CBarca/Spurs/Bucks and Nick during a transfer window.

Everyone else, I feel genuine empathy towards any unfortunate situation they find themselves in.

We only have 3 legit CMs. The reserves are an unproven kid (I don't see anyone vouching for him anymore now that MTO made that dramatic departure), and 2 AMs.

When you look at the ages of all 6, their injury history, and the current shape of some of them, it would be inevitable that they will have to use kids from 3rd level futbol several times this season (and for sure there aren’t any potentials there).

Not exactly, a smart strategy if one wants to compete in 3 competitions.
